I was giving blood today (public service anouncement - the Red Cross is critically short of blood right now - if can give, please consider it) and as they were taking all the little extra add-on vials for testing and what-not, I called the gal doing it a little vampire.

I wonder - do people with a blood or vampirism fetish ever go to blood drives or donate as a kind of adjunct thrill?

There was a movie a few years ago with James Spader about epople who got off on crashes looking for them - I wonder if there is a blood fetish drive like that, expressed in blood donation services.

I am sure some do.

I am sure it exists, but for vampires, blood is more about energy, connection and sexuality than just the red fluid itself. It's the act of taking the blood and sharing it which becomes erotic and empowering.

Any possible kink or sexually-related activity you can think of has probably been done. Take an hour and write down every possible sexual kink you've never heard of before (no matter how strange) - - chances are, somebody's done it.

If and when I am able to partake in vampirism, its not so much about the 'blood' as the connection. It's a complete head rush and the connection that exists is far more than just to do with the blood itself.

Of course, I would be lying if I said that the smell of blood didn't arouse me. But it is definately more in the act of giving and taking, than a blood fetish. It's the beat, the warmth, and the spiritual and the trust and the act of give and take - above all, the combining and sharing of such a vital function.

I have given blood. But I don't find it in the least bit arousing, because the connection just isn't there. Theres no stimulation, no touch, - it's just empty and clinical - just as it should be.

However, I do stay 'on the lookout' for 'signs' of blood - but a hospital just wouldn't be my thing. But if a friend say, cut themself, they know me well enough to either not tell me - or invite me to inspect the wound. But I would feel personally it would be wrong to jump into that space with someone who wouldn't be consenting. I have to just walk away - no matter how hard that is to do.

I am sure there are a certain section of people who would be attracted though.

Peace and Love

As Christ gave his blood to save the world I give mine to atleast help others. That sentance always pisses off the JW's.

I enjoy donating and seeing blood from by body being drained. However, I also like getting stuck with the 16 gage needle. But that's just a little of my massochistic side talking.

But don't forget, when you donate you get a free T-Shirt and all the juice and cookies you can eat.

Brightest Blessings

When Man feeds off of me, not only is spiritual, and arousing, and hot....LOL for us it means that he takes me into his body , he owns my life force. It wouldn't work for me or for him for that matter with a impersonal tube.

He hungers for my blood, my breath, my energy, and I provide the food to sustain him.

Blessed Be
Gem

I would give it, but I am on their "warning list"
I was sunburned on the day that I went to donate and apperantly having a flushed face is a warning sign and if you have that then you cannot donate. Ever.
What gets me is this.

1) No one bother to ask me why my face was flushed until they had already put me on the list. A mix of rosacia and sunburn would make anyone look flushed, believe me.

2) They were telling me the whole time what a shame it was because I have A+ blood and I guess that's what they need all the time.
So, why not take me off the stinking list and let me donate? I am not sunburned anymore, I still have rosacia, but am on a skin cream for it, I promise I will stay out of the sun....

Sorry, had to give that little rant. It's been two years now and they still won't let me donate.

I am not allowed to donate either. I had a needlestick at work (nurse) and even though all of my bloodwork has been fine for two and a half years they still consider me a risk.

edited for typo

I have serious blood/vampire/etc fetish, however, I most definitely despise giving blood- and the last time I donated I fainted twice and nearly aspirated my own bile. It was pretty unpleasant.

I do however have a friend that gets jollies out of blood being taken from her - but has no disposition for vampires. I think she gets adrenaline from it or something.

I've donated once, but I got REALLY light-headed and I don't like nearly fainting. As I was giving it, one of the nurses asked me if I was all right because of how pale I looked. Other nurse looked at me and was like "No, she was that pale when she came here."

But I know my blood type, O-, is always in demand.

At the risk of being O/T I am seriously pissed off that, because I'm from the UK - and was a faithful blood donor from 18 to moving to Ireland at the age of 31 - I will never be able to give blood here despite there being a scandelous shortgage. Pah.

Is it because of the CJD risk?
