MasterThor66 -> merging wedding vows and D/s contract (9/13/2005 7:15:19 PM)

Is there anyone here with RT experience in the merging of wedding vows and D/s contracts? I have made vows(promises) to my girl and we have found that D/s has been the ingredient we needed in our wedding cake. I wish to write a proper contract that incorporates our vows. i am still new enough at this that I thought that asking for guidance is the preferred route.
Thank You,
Thorvald

Somewhere I have a copy of "The Red Rose Ceremony". I can attempt to find if but others here may have a copy or know which site's it is on. I have seen it used in a civil ceremony and have performed a handfasting using it too.

Conmgratulations Thorvald to both of you.

We actually wrote our own vows.

I was collared long before the wedding, and the only "contract" we had then was our word. {it was before ine net, lol}

The major thing that no-one noticed was I had the word Obey, and he the word Protect.[;)]

I'm an Ordained Minister. The wedding I officiated over last month incorporated the reading of the slave/Master contract.

Here is a copy of the vows with the particulars removed.....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Minister: This is the time you have chosen to become husband and wife. We are here, not only to witness your commitment to each other, but also to wish you both every happiness in your future life together. Within its framework of commitment and loyalty marriage enables the establishment of a home, where through trust, patience and respect, the love and affection which you have for each other may develop into a deep and lasting relationship. We who are witnessing your marriage, hope that despite the stresses inevitable in any life your Love, Respect for each other, your trust and understanding of each other will increase your contentment and heighten your joy in living.

Everyday you live, learn how to receive love with as much understanding as you give it. Find things within yourself, then you can share them with each other. Do not fear this love. Have an open heart and a sincere mind. Be sincerely interested in each other's happiness. Be constant and consistent in your love. From this comes security and strength. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us on this day of your marriage. Try to commit yourselves fully and freely to each other.

Before you _______ and _______ are joined in marriage in my presence of these your friends and witnesses, I am to remind you of the serious and binding nature of the relationship you are now about to enter.

What I am about to read is from Master _______ and slave _______ contract they entered into last _______. In it they expressed their desires to form a Master/slave relationship. I will now read the promises they made to each other and this is to be incoporated as part of their marriage vows.

(At this point the Master/slave contract was read in it's entirety.)

Minister: I shall now ask you to make your marriage vows.

VOWS Minister: _______, will you take _______ to be your lawful wife, will you love her, honor and keep her in sickness and in health and forsaking all others keep only unto her so long as you both shall live.

Response: I will.

Minister: _______, will you take _______ to be your lawful husband, will you love him, honor, obey and keep him in sickness and in health and forsaking all others keep only unto him so long as you both shall live.

Response: I will.

RING VOWS

Minister: Master _______ will bestow to slave _______ a special collar. Once affixed, only he will be able to remove it with a special tool.

Groom: _______, with this collar, I thee wed.

Minister: As you have consented together to be bound to one another in lawful marriage. You have made special promises to each other which have been symbolized by the joining of hands, taking of vows and by the giving of a collar. By the authority vested in me, according to the laws of Missouri, I now pronounce you to be husband and wife. Now that the ceremony is over and the experience of living day by day is about to begin, go and meet it gladly.

Embrace of (Groom) and (Bride).

Introduction of Mr. and Mrs. _______.

In November, I'm marrying another DS couple. Fortunately, they intend to have a separate collaring ceremony in the afternoon, about 4 hours prior to the wedding itself in order to accomidate the unsuspecting family members. That may be another way to go for you, even if it's only to give the minister a break...

Lots of luck to you.
