ORIGINAL: sirsholly greetings all.... i have to start working the phone in a few but wanted to thank you all for the kind words and thoughts. I will answer the e-mails (promise!). The doctor said an infection is almost a given and there are no antibiotics strong enough to fight it. Since we live on a farm, and it was an outside screen door handle, e-coli is very possible. If the infection takes off they don't think they can save my arm and will just shoot for trying to make sure the LoudOne still has a mom. So..i have to go back in on Wed and surgery will be scheduled for Thursday (unless a miracle occurs ). Dr Doom said i might be out by Monday. One good thing is he veto'd an MRI cause he is going to go in there anyway to irrigate it and the muscle/whatever damage can be repaired then. And God bless him...he knew the story and sat down with the LoudOne and sooo patiently explained that what happened was an accident and in no way his fault. The Dr has little ones and really related to him. When the Dr first came in the LoudOne stood in front of me, putting himself between me and the Dr., and had his tiny hand on my "booboo". He is afraid of strangers and was so scared his lil lower lip was trembling...but he stood his ground. My lil protector. I am a very blessed person!!! Yes...you are. Sometimes in their lives, our ums can be the most wonderful creatures on Earth without even realizing it. Sounds like you've got a very kind, concerned, caring Doc...gee, reminds me of me...and that he will do all he can for you. Now what you have to do is LISTEN! Thoughts, prayers and best wishes are with you...
