Please share your experience with "caging"... I've never used a cage as a form of play or discipline - can you please share your experiences. Thanks!

I was caged often when I was married to my Mistress. She caged/closet locked for a number of reasons and depending on why she placed me there determined how I felt while I was there. I'll give a few examples but there are numerous more.
* Caged for disapointing her in some manner-she would not punish when she was angry or upset, she would wait until she calmed down to administer the punishment. ---At times this would nearly make me physically ill as my nerves would tie me all up in knots knowing what was to come some time in the near future.
*Caged so she would not be bothered by me while she had girl friends over---This was exciting for me as most of her friends knew of our lifestyle and thought it was funny that I would allow her in front of them to say go undressed and get into the closet and out of our sight, I'll be in shortly to lock the door (which she always did, she had me install a dead bolt on our hall closet door).
*Caged when she didn't wish to be disturbed for any reason like watching a movie, talking to someone special on the phone, or just quite time.---i would feel very lonley at times like these, but it made me appreciate even more when she did allow be to be by her side or at her feet.
*Caged when she had lovers over---Big turn on for me as I'm on of the guys that loves the fact that the women I serve takes her pleasures any where/way she wishes while I remain faithful to her and kept denied for long periods of time.
These are just some of the highs and lows I felt from caging but I'm sure you will find all sort of answers to this as everyone and every situation is different.

Cages are yummy, but not for everyone. I don't have any issues that would render me not a good candidate for this type of play.

You should have a good idea of whether your partner has any serious pychological or mental issues with enclosed spaces and whether it would be safe for them. In all things, it's safest to place safe.

Of course, you could always go ahead regardless, but then you'll have to face consequences or ramafications as a result.(I say this for those who say "You are the Dom, you can do what ever you want regardless of the subby...")

I find cages very settling after heavy play. If I have been pushed through a comfort zone into new ground, or there has been some overt terror/fear play or degredation, or mind fuckery I am usually pretty shaken up. I need to do some work slinging my demons back into their hiding places and getting myself back to a level field. I do not like being mauled and snuggled after such play, and after I get taken out of bondage for a while I would rather not be touched at all. In those circumstances being caged keeps the world out rather than keeping me in, and I find that gives me the secure environment to sort myself out.

That said I like to be able to be able to see the person who has caged me, and know they are there. In fact the best cage recovery I ever had was being in the cage with a blanket, as I was talked back down to sanity through the bars, gave me distance and intimacy, security and space all at the same time.

Never used a cage *inside* a scene ... only as storage or safety chamber

I used to do welding and other sorts of work-and got a bed frame and converted it to a cage once. It was about 40 inches square and five feet long. Door opened on one end-it had a hasp and a padlock. The base was bolted in plywood,with a three inch thick foam rubber pad covered with black upholstery vinyl. I pretty much just used it for control,and because I liked the view of what I put in there. Which was usually a naked female,wearing nothing but a very thick diaper and plastic pants. With a sports bottle of water where she could reach it.

Never used a cage as punishment for beth. Keeping her away from my hands is more MY punishment than hers.

However I do use them at clubs for her after play as a 'comfort zone' curled up in a blanket. she loves them and someday I hope to have a 'home version' to add to our dungeon.

I intend to use cages frequently/heavily. It strikes me as having a number of great benefits, but when it comes right down to it, it's just because I like it. :)

They had a cage at Leather Retreat one year and my Mistress and I had a great time with it. We only used it in the scene, not for punishment.

I've been caged before and it can be a wonderful form or relaxation, being able to just be calm or it can be a form of loneliness if I'm left there to be "put away" because he wants some alone time or I'm of no use to him at the moment or it can be a place of despair because I am being punished for something.

It just all depends on the reason I was placed there.

I used to sleep in a cage in a house of domination every night.

And then they discovered me and called the cops. Damn Mistresses and their trespassing laws!

Okay, just playing. But, no, really, a previous Mistress kept me caged every night. It was a great experience, but it has to be one of those things where both of you are into it for the right reasons. Otherwise, it becomes a burden on the one doing the caging, or it becomes miserable for the one being caged.

I hate, hate, hate fucking, HATE cages.

Taggard likes putting me in one to punish me.

I hate the feeling of being enclosed, trapped. It's not comforting and is incredibly stressful.

It works perfectly for a punishment.

I'm sure that the time in the cage is replete with some truly wonderful suffering. Perhaps he might add diapering and bondage mittens if it's thrill ever fades for you.

I'm quite sure that the memory helps your focus when you are OUT of the cage.

Trust me, the cranked up AC and the entire squirt bottle of water that is sprayed on me through the course of an hour is more than enough to make me spiffy with what ever he wants me to do.

Thankfully, this little reminder of 'doing what Taggard says is a good thing' should last me for another couple weeks.

I loooooooooooooooove cages, I dunno what it is about em. I'm a very little person and I happen to like small confined places. When I go to the local group I'm a part of, and we have play parties, at some point during the night, you will ALWAYS eventually see Hilly in the cage, grinning up at people and attacking unsuspecting ankles.

I love cages, too. I usually get stuffed into our cage at home to keep me from underfoot while Master is busy elsewhere.

We are putting some cages up in a club (normal vanilla club with a semi-metal bent) here in Lafayette for a new monthly fetish night. I'll send a CM on the dates when we firm them up.
