~FR~ That's not gender bending... that's just him singing a beautiful tenor solo in a high range (also known as counter-tenor sometimes)... I want to say two octaves? I can't remember off-hand the normal range for it. I like the way Puccini wrote it better :\ (that is, for a solid tenor). I'm confused as to how he has that range, it's kinda crazy. If we were in older times I'd say he was a castrato, but I doubt that people actually still do that now. Either way, head-voice of that quality doesn't come easy (or cheap!) so his talent/skill really is admirable. Either way, I don't like the quality of the voice, and the song just doesn't *sound* good in that range. Then again, I may be biased and have somewhat of a fetish for a nice, low-voiced Calaf. It's a gorgeous ballad. ~Aravain (who, despite his best efforts, is turning into an opera/music snob)
