The answer seems clear cut to me after having been to the Palo Alto, San Jose, and Southern Cross munches over the years.

A munch is an "regularly scheduled" open-to-all-comers meeting in a "public" venue of people who are interested in the D/s dynamic for the purpose of socializing amongst each other.

I'm sure we can come up with a hundred twists on the word munch, but, as for me, if it's not a public setting, it's not a munch.

I'd be more likely to attend.

I tried a few munches at restaurants in my area, but I don't find restaurant settings at all conducive to meeting people, "mingling" , etc.

all this talk about munches im so looking forward to the BDSM ireland munch in Dublin next Saturday evening. We are meeting at 8 o clock. And yes we are on Fetlife. i missed the last one so im really looking forward to the next one
