Yes it is. Have a great day and stay away from the pizza.

servantforuse -> RE: Pizza Of The Future (8/15/2009 7:12:06 AM)

Stay away from the Obama administration e-mail hit list. They have some explaining to do..

I fail to see how the clip is any more relevant today than it was when first made (not that it was particularly relevant then ).

Sanity -> RE: Pizza Of The Future (8/15/2009 9:13:32 AM)

Governments here are already going after smokers and obesity, and our taxes are being used to fund political attempts at establishing a nationalized health insurance scheme. So why not simply combine all these efforts for our own good, and for the good of the children?

If health insurance companies are evil (see today's headlines), why aren't fast food establishments evil as well. Why not have government assume control over all of it. And we already have caller ID, and cell phones enables the government to track us via cell  towers wherever we go as we travel along. National ID numbers are here already, through our SS numbers and drivers license numbers, but there are still a few bugs remaining to be worked out.

A quick glance at England tells me it won't be long before there are cameras not only on every street corner but also in our homes, and of course satellites can already track us as individuals, it's known that government officials can read license plate numbers from space and God only knows what else they can see.

It's all coming together, soon we will all be perfectly safe.

You know, its kind of funny that you don't trust the government to be able to run a health insurance plan, but you attribute to them the ability to manage a huge conspiracy to take control of every aspect of your life....which is it, are they bumbling fools or are they scheming masterminds....it can't be both.

thats because its not a conspiracy. They are quite open about their willingness to ram their control down our throats.

Sanity -> RE: Pizza Of The Future (8/15/2009 9:31:56 AM)

Yes, it can be both, why can't it. And it's no conspiracy as willbur says, it's all for our own good, and the good of the children (of course).

See, we're the bumbling fools according to government, and we conspire against ourselves. That's why we need ever increasing cigarette taxes, soda taxes, and every other form of government intervention into our lives that can be imagined.

One little tiny step at a time, of course, unless Obama's trying to ram something monstrous in with a sledge hammer.

It's very funny. This video was produced to oppose Bush administration ant privacy initiatives, realID etc., and now someone who supported all of that stuff back then quite passionately is now trying to use it to attack an administration he doesn't like.

Sanity -> RE: Pizza Of The Future (8/15/2009 9:43:31 AM)

Its actually funnier and more relevant when used to oppose Obamacare than to oppose anything Bush did (and which Democrats heartily agreed to at the time).

Obama is everything that Bush was falsely accused of being....

That's the real humor, right there.

Or maybe not. [8|]

I may have missed something, but just what monstrous thing is Obama trying to ram down any body's throat?

Sanity -> RE: Pizza Of The Future (8/15/2009 9:57:10 AM)

Nationalized health care, Arpig. Where have you been?

It's all over the news...

Pizza.

You have to start paying more attention Arpig!

Yeah, but I still haven't seen anything in the bills that are "monstrous", other than the fact that the private insurance companies will still maintain their strangle hold over the delivery of health care in the US.
Nothing in the bills has anything even remotely resembling nationalized health care.

Sanity -> RE: Pizza Of The Future (8/15/2009 10:11:41 AM)

This is where the debate breaks down because it was all supposed to have been done by now and we don't really even have a single bill to use as a concrete fact, all we have is Obama's word.

That he isn't a Conservative candidate, and intends to be reelected.

I'm not being at all sarcastic, Arpig. It's not about positions anymore--it's a power struggle.

A good example is the health care legislation. Everyone knows we have to do something, that the current situation isn't sustainable. But they'll kill it to weaken Obama rather than let him achieve a victory.

Then they'll want our votes.

Welcome to the U.S.

You're mistaken.

An honest debate is all people are asking for, and we're being told from the very top that if we disagree with the government, we need to be quiet.

http://www.breitbart.tv/obama-dont-want-the-folks-who-created-the-mess-to-do-a-lot-of-talking/

Which, this is in line with the Orwellian theme of this thread, especially in light of the related story about union goons busting the heads of anyone who dares to dissent.

(Read the wording below the Breitbart video I linked to above, if by chance you've missed reading about the scandalous involvement of left-wing union goons at various town hall meetings around the country).

And you've already been given numerous links by numerous people, including myself, to prove that these weren't people wanting an honest debate but people encouraged to cause disruptions as  part of an organized multi-millionaire
dollar anti-health reform campaign by business interests who fear loss of revenue.
