Its not a path to single payer... lol

I see it as a path to break the insurance monopolies.

There are no insurance monopolies, but whatever concentration of the health care market exists is due solely to restrictions on selling across state lines, which the Dems continue to resist.

More accurately it is a path to break the health insurance industry....and replace it by single payer.

Nice backstroke off your claim that you previously stated it IS a path to single payer.

Didn't he already do that last year?
I seem to remember something about "shovel ready" jobs. What happened to those?

The shoveling was being done by him.

We did them here. What did your states do?

Here too.

Our county had miles of sidewalks put in along with other improvements.

But it's a waste of time to point that out to those whose only goal is to prove Obama is a failure.

Those were temporary jobs. What are those people doing now?
And Obama as they say in Texas is, "all hat and no cattle."

Our county had 2, 90+ year old bridges rep[laced, they are still working on some roads, A new water plant and water lines to a rural area where some folks still have to haul water several miles from a spring to fill their cisterns. The work goes on. It was done by local contractors using local labor.

And i still dont see a problem with that.

Im sure you wouldnt, but dont give me the bullshit line that Obamacare wasnt always intended to steer the country toward single payer. Hes a fucking liar, along with Reid and Pelosi, and the sheep cling to all his lies.

No, you just have a problem paying attention.

Single-payer was always the goal, unfortunately political reality sometimes requires compromise.

Yeah, so where are the jobs now? How many billions to create how many temporary jobs?

They are still there Willbeur.

You just have to look around.

But you really don't want to do that, do you?

Because you might find that you are wrong.

If we have to have "another" stimulus does that mean that the first one didn't work?

what i find astonishing is that economists have been declaring the economy will feel the results of the 2009 economy for at least 10 years... and here you are wanting to know if something has worked two years in???

Who cares? They were jobs that needed doing--infrastructure mostly, and now they're done.

ALL jobs are 'temporary' if you think about it. They are still at work in this county.

No, it means it was inadequate. Why aren't your Repub masters repatriating money and creating jobs?

The government is the economic engine of last resort.

Why don't you try laying aside your prejuduces and see the suffering people are going through?

You are so unevolved.

Hippie, I have no "masters" I'm a free man.
And why doesn't Obama see the suffering that people are going through and get us out of those "free trade" deals like NAFTA?"
As a populist I do see the suffering that people are going through out here unlike yer man, Obama who is bought and paid for by big corporations like B.P(his largest contributor)

"In Goldwater v. Carter,[9] Congress challenged the constitutionality of then-president Jimmy Carter's unilateral termination of a defense treaty. The case went before the Supreme Court and was never heard; a majority of six Justices ruled that the case should be dismissed without hearing an oral argument, holding that "The issue at hand ... was essentially a political question and could not be reviewed by the court, as Congress had not issued a formal opposition." In his opinion, Justice Brennan dissented, "The issue of decision making authority must be resolved as a matter of constitutional law, not political discretion; accordingly, it falls within the competence of the courts". Presently, there is no official ruling on whether the President has the power to break a treaty without the approval of Congress, and the courts also declined to interfere when President George W. Bush unilaterally withdrew the United States from the ABM Treaty in 2002, six months after giving the required notice of intent.[10]"
