Kainundeva -> not so nice story (3/28/2012 4:36:40 AM)

think of that: euro sub goes to us to serve a couple. turns out it´s not a couple but he rented a slave from a friend to pretend, took mobile and bank card, chains her in the house, and sells her as a prostitute to others, keeps the money. now a auction is set for friday where she is sold... for whatever.

could be a nice story where the call for money is luring round the corner, but it´s already clear that this could be done with guarantees and the consulate, without sending money.

now apart from this guy acting like a big asshole pimp instead of a dom... how to get her out? she´s frightened. what happens if she calls the police? could she be arrested for prostitution? or is it better to get help from the embassy? they would have to trace back the phone, she does not know the address where she´s at. and if she´s calling the police, would it be better to get the pimp and the buyers at the auction?

on the other hand the guy was in europe, met her, stayed in a hotel, did fly. it should be no prob for euro police to get his address, because hotels require passports, flights were booked, visa issued...

just don´t know what the next best move is.

You kind of lost me at "He rented a slave".....but ok. How do you know so much about this?

Your story is rather confusing. You say it's not so nice, yet it COULD be nice if money is involved?

If she is truly being held against her will, she should call 911.

It isn't clear to me what you're asking or discussing here. Is this a story you are writing?

first: because she is an online friend of my wife ( sub ) since quite a while. it COULD be it´s a prank/scam, but this was going too far. too many infos, friends and phone numbers around.

second: nice story where money luring means, the story could be a scam where this girl asks to send money sooner or later.

third: that is the question. he´s obviously got an internet connection but no telephone apart from his mobile. so again: how to contact local police or consulate, and which would be better?
euro police could find out address.

@killerangel:

sadly no story i am writing, this is probably happening.

MrBukani -> RE: not so nice story (3/28/2012 5:29:35 AM)

If she is forced to prostitute I dont think she can be charged with it right?
So good luck call 911 and get the fuck outta there.
And yes you can inform interpol and the FBI and hand out the info and report a possible crimescene.
Good luck.

And dont forget how you got the info, if its just an online person you know it might all be a hoax.

PS on the other hand it depends on what you got to loose reporting what you think is real or not and you can even put that down in the report, just be honest about it to the people you report too, so they will know what to do best.

ProlificNeeds -> RE: not so nice story (3/28/2012 6:19:07 AM)

FR~

If this person being held has internet... they have an easy means to contact anyone on the planet. Also... if you're actually being held prisoner... who's gonna fucking hang around on the internet? Fling yourself out a window grab the first person on the street and ask for police, or if there is a language barrier, make a lunatic of yourself until someone DOES call the police.

kalikshama -> RE: not so nice story (3/28/2012 6:28:01 AM)

What country is your friend in and what country is she from? Unless she's in certain Islamic countries, as she did not receive the money from the prostitution, she won't be charged.

If she speaks the language, she should just leave the house and ask someone to help her go to the police.

That fact that she hasn't done so but is emailing for advice makes me suspicious and wondering if a request for a plane ticket is forthcoming.

Kainundeva -> RE: not so nice story (3/28/2012 6:30:34 AM)

chained in a house in a foreign country is not the situation to bring out the bravery in an otherwise very shy girl with very low self esteem. but i also think it will be the thing to do. at least the 5th smashed window should get people to look.

of course request for plane ticket was an option , but i already told her the consulate will issue a passport in case of need and contact me. and then i actually DO have a travel agency in new york i worked with a lot ( used to work as a tour booker for DJs ) which will hand out a non refundable ticket from NY back home for the next plane to her.

so, she knows about that, there is no money coming her way.

kalikshama -> RE: not so nice story (3/28/2012 6:38:24 AM)

How is she emailing your wife while in chains?

Kainundeva -> RE: not so nice story (3/28/2012 6:42:15 AM)

that´s the little questions i ask myself of course, but still i have to consider she´s telling the truth. she knows that there´s no money coming, if it is a scam we would be not interesting for her anymore since quite a while now.
i told her, even if she´s completely broke i have the means to get her home well without her seeing any money.

that sorts out a lot of the scam here by the way.

I suspect that if you were a good a friend as you say you are, you would have advised the police
or the consulate on her behalf, instead of trying to play the white knight to her pleas of distress,
and asking a message board full of strangers what to do
.
I have an idea! Why not fly to the auction yourself and make the highest bid?

Kainundeva -> RE: not so nice story (3/28/2012 7:02:01 AM)

i WILL advise the police or the consulate... and the question was: consulate or police.
and because you people are from US you may have an idea what is better.
don´t act bitchy, this has nothing to do with white knighting and is too serious for a blind shot in the dark.
my answers are in here already anyway, mrbukani did a good job on that.

poise -> RE: not so nice story (3/28/2012 7:19:16 AM)

I don't feel I'm behaving in a bitchy manner. You started this thread almost 3 hours ago,
and per your previous post, it's been highly discussed already among mutual friends.
"this was going too far. too many infos, friends and phone numbers around."

So what are you waiting for? A blind shot in the dark will at least offer her the help she needs if it isn't a hoax.
And if it is a hoax, you still haven't lost anything by trying to assist, and you'll know what type of friend she really is if she is lying.

punisher440 -> RE: not so nice story (3/28/2012 7:34:24 AM)

First of all, this story smells of B.S. but if you feel this is real, here is some help. For anyone travelling into the U.S. you have to have a VISA[anything from a tourist to student VISA] and if the sub happens to be from the former Soviet bloc, she has to have a sponser from here in the U.S. This sponser has to fill out a bit of paperwork plus sign a form stating that the person being brought in will be taken care of by the sponser[meaning the sponser is responsible for the costs of any health care,lodging,food,etc.].So if you have a name of the person being held, call the Dept. of Homeland Security[they control immigration] and explain what is going and your concerns. If she is real and she is in the U.S.,they have a record of her sponser and where he lives. But I have a very strong feeling that someone is playing a game here. Here is the toll free number for inside the U.S. for National Customer Service Center for immigration, 1-800-375-5283
.Outside of the U.S. you need to contact the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate. Here is the link to search for it, http://www.usembassy.gov/ .And finally, here is the number on the Dept of Homeland Security site to report trafficking in persons call: 1-888-428-7581 or 1-888-3737-888 .

.

Kainundeva -> RE: not so nice story (3/28/2012 7:45:13 AM)

she´s EU citizen, fill out paperwork on plane, get visa on the airport. like you go the other way as us citizen.
but you are right, she has to have a visa and immigration should hold her record.
police should be able to check that if i call them. good. thank you.

LaTigresse -> RE: not so nice story (3/28/2012 7:46:30 AM)

Just be aware that they may eventually want access to the computer you've been using to contact her.

Ya, based on what I've read so far......there is someone, maybe not even female, on the other end, trying to scam this stupid sap out of $$$. Otherwise, the FBI does have a website...as do most law enforcement agencies. I know if I was in trouble I would be begging some random stranger on the net to save my ass instead of contacting every law enforcement website I could possibly find.......yeahhhhh, that's it.

you don´t have to have a visa in advance, but get registered with a paper you have to fil out on the plane and enter with your passport... at least that was when i travelled to NY the last time. and US has all the data of everybody entering US per air.

LaTigresse -> RE: not so nice story (3/28/2012 8:22:23 AM)

Since you have email access to this person, send her this link.

Point out the 'Contact Us' in the upper left.
