I mostly post in the Gorean forum since I am a slave owned by a Gorean Master. Recently I have read a few comments about leather slaves. I was wondering if there are any leather slaves here on CM and what their day to day life is like. Do all leather slaves live by certain common precepts? It would be great for me to learn from this side of things and I appreciate all who will take the time to respond.

What is a leather slave?  To me a slave, is a slave, is a slave.  Their owner may have particular styles or philosophical leanings but there's no modifier in front of the word slave, to me.

Status: offline 		Leather is a lifestyle that is predominantly found in the gay/lesbian communities. The best way to describe Leather is to do searches on the Internet. I am a part of the Leather community in my city and am a submissive, there is a code we follow based on Honor Trust Respect Duty Loyalty and a very strong family type environment. People involved in the Leather lifestyle also tend to wear leather (big surprise) but Leather clothing is usually given to the wearer by their Top, Mentor or there community (ie Masters Caps). They also will flag for there likes and depending on the side it will indicate Top or bottom, myself for example will flag black hankie for heavy S/m on the right side for bottom.

Status: offline 		Really you have to research what the leather sub culture is and what it's values and history are to get a good idea of what a leather format slave is. But Ianwolf discribed the real basics pretty well.
All one needs to do is a few basic google searches and you have volumes of websites where you can get further information on what "Leather" is about and what the shared values are.

What their lives are like depends very much on the owner just as the daily life of any slave depends more on the specific owner than the format the owner uses.

Other than the fictional based dances and possitions names and such I think you'll find they live pretty similar lives to any other slave.

Ian, that's all good to explain that....but having been involved in the leather community for quite some time, I've never heard of a "leather slave" with exception to someone who was simply a leather *fetishist*, aka a slave to leather.  Without the OP actually clarifying what was meant, I suppose we'll never know.

Are you asking about a gay male slave (involved in the "leather community"), are you talking about someone who is a leather fetishist (slave to leather) or is there some other concept that you're asking about?

I posted some links, some to other sites, some to previous discussion boards. I would like to answer this question by pointing to the first link, the Born Slaves Web site. A most esteemed, kind and honorable gentleman who goes by SlaveMaster wrote this literature (I would suggest reading the one titled “The Principles” first) and I feel it sums up the honor, dignity, protocol and spirit of a leather slave.

I hope this helps answer your question kisshou. I feel that lately a leather slave has been commonly misunderstood by a submissive running around wearing leather and being bratty. If this works for them, fine, but there is so much more depth, love, spirit, and profound centeredness to what I would offer as being a “leather slave.” It is earned, developed, and serves from the heart, from the core of its being.

I did post the other things besides SlaveMasters because I wanted to offer some different points of view on Old Guard and origins of the leather community and who is in it. Thank you also for showing interest, it is an honor to share this Master’s essays to someone who is interested.

that term has cropped up a few times recently in the Gorean Forums so I started wondering about it. I thought it referred to a slave owned by a leather Master or in a leather family (am not sure of the correct terminology)

I asked in the forum because I wanted to hear from someone who might be living that type of lifestyle. To see if all people into the leather shared certain philosophies. It never occured to me that it might be all people who had a leather fetish for articles of clothing made from that material.

Thanks amoretta for the website links. This is such a huge BDSM community here on CM I thought I would get more answers.
