So what little quirk do have that would make the rest of the world think you're crazy, if they knew about it? A bit of OCD about whether the coffee pot is turned off? Talking to yourself?

I talk to the drivers of other vehicles on the road. I know perfectly well that they can't hear me, but I talk to them anyway. "Pedal on the right, jackass," "That little stick thingy on the steering column is called a turn signal," and most frequently, when the only thing between me and the other side of the traffic jam is a bunch of damn rubberneckers, "What, you've never seen an SUV that rolled 15 times? MOVE asshole!"

Jesus I've got so many quirks they have to line up.

-I can't sleep without a light on unless someone is with me
-I talk to the computer, TV, movie, radio, whatever is going on- not just yelling at it in fits of anger, I actually speak to it, like "Why don't you put on some more of those animal planet shows?"
-I have a bookcase full of manga (thats japanese comic books for the non geeks out there) that are organized alphabetically by author.
-Even if my entire house is a festering cesspool of dirt, as long as I make my bed I don't feel like a slob.

I'm sure there's others. They will come to me.

I always put ice cubes in hot drinks, or I absolutely cannot drink them (especially coffee, but also hot chocolate). This isn't that weird, but my friends sometimes make fun of me for it.

Also, when I am at a restaurant, I steal the glasses of drinking water from other people at the table (I do always ask first, though - so I guess its not stealing). I have a drinking water fetish, and just drink tons of it, especially in restaurants.

I talk baby talk to my doggies all the time (but I think most people do this, don't they?)

I seem to have an extremely weird sleep schedule for myself - it's rarely the same. One day, I am in bed by 10pm and up at 6am, and the next day it's to bed at 4am and up at noon, etc. Of course this might all have to change if I had an actual job, (but I am confident I could do it).

i take baths instead of showers.

Let's begin:

1. My closet is arranged by pants/jeans on one side, and tops on the other. Not so strange you say? Just wait. My tops are arranged alphabetically by the main color on that top. They all face the same way, and are equal spaces apart.

2. My shoes are arranged by how often i wear a certain pair. The pair i wear the most often are at the front, and so forth. They are also facing the same way, with the right shoe on the right and the left shoe on the left.

3. My bookcase is arranged by author's last name. If i have more than one book by the same author, and it's not a series (in which case it would go chronilogically), they are arranged in order of published date.

4. I only eat one thing at a time on a plate, and none of the food can touch the others.

5. And everything in my room is perpendicular to each other.

I'm pretty sure that's it.

I cannot go to sleep unless I know what time it is. This includes if I wake up in the middle of the night.
All of my clocks have to be exact, to the second.
All of my cds are arranged in the order I bought them and the disc has to be perfectly straight in the case.
Everything in my kitchen cabinets and pantry is perfectly straight, in a Sleeping With the Enemy sort of way.
I am obsessed with having clean ears to the point that if I think about it I need to grab a q-tip.
I'm sure the list goes on...

the government should have taken me away a long time ago with the many conspiracy theories i have in my head - from man not landing on the moon to the "plane" crashing the Pentagon on 9/11. i guess watching the X-Files only fueled my suspicious mind.

I used to work in user support, both phone and in person, as well as managed a help desk.

People would call me up.
They would ask questions.
They would whine about their problems.
They would imply it was all my fault.
They would demand answers.

Most of the time I simply loathe talking on the phone. After about 3 minutes I want to go postal.

I talk to my dog and answer for her using a different voice.
I have to have something on my feet - socks, slippers, whatever... bare foot is NOT an option. And I have to be wearing clean socks before I'll put my shoes on. This means that those sock can't have touched the floor.

My clothes are arrainged by style (Jeans, shorts, T-shirts, long sleeved shirts, mock necks, turtle necks, sweaters, etc. in that order) and then by colour (light to dark).
If I see a creepy-crawly, it dies, then I have to wash everything in that room (walls, ceiling, light fixtures, floor, etc), and surrounding rooms if there is no door (ie kitchen & dining area).

I have to wash my hands (after coming into the house) if I've touched anything outside the house, not including the doorknob outside.
I make lists and outlines for all sorts of things.
I don't like for certain foods to touch unless I've arranged them intentionally.
I will invariably take apart almost anything served to me at a restaurant for one reason or another.
I have to have certain things at the head of my bed before I will go to sleep.
If I see a spider in my bedroom I'll sleep on the couch in the living room until the creepy feeling goes away.
And I'm never going to reach enlightenment because of what I do to spiders found in the bathroom. They get sprayed or squirted with whatever hair care product I can find. And I won't pick them up with a wad of tissue until they have completely stopped moving.

*laugh* Well you're better than I am... if they are in the shower they get the water turned on the hottest temperature till they fry. And I can't even pick them up afterwards, I have to get someone else to do it. Which is often a neat trick to try to pull off since I live alone.
