Okay, I admit that the first page I went to was Cock Worship. I read this:

quote:

Only a woman - who does not possess a penis - can have this sense of wonder. A man lacks this sense because he knows what it is like to have a penis. This is why gay men cannot practise cockworship as it is defined in Code d' Odalisque. They necessarily lack a female's fundamental sense of wonder.

Hmmm, I know many gay, bi, sub males who would disagree with this. I didn't need to read any further. Things that are this narrrow-sighted are not my cup of tea.

greetings all,

i have to side with the kajirae on this one. i think the primary difference between gor and code d'odalisque is...well...code d'odalisque, first of all, sounds silly, and second of all, says outright that it's a roleplaying game. for most people who live a gorean lifestyle, it is no more roleplaying for them than it is for any of us who live a d/s lifestyle...whereas the code d'odalisque website repeatedly refers to the lifestyle it sets forth as a game.

kittin, i believe you might be surprised by the number of non-gorean slaves who are jobless :P i believe beth (of Mercandbeth) doesn't work outside the home, and i am sure there are a number of others. having a job has nothing to do with anything.

anyway, aside from the fact that cock worship is, well, the basis of my existence, so the cock worship page was rather affirming, i don't see much use for this website. i mean, there are plenty of websites on how to be a more useful slave...and they manage to accomplish their goal without putting a silly name on it and calling it a tradition of slavery.

annabelle.

Right on, Domina. Right on.

Well, judging by the posting of MrDiscipline, I'd reckon that manners are some foreign concept on Gor.

Greetings Domina,
regarding your quote above - it appeared Domiguy was referring to sabba in that she was using a respectful greeting. Not MrDiscipline. If Domiguy was reffering to MrDiscipline, then i apologise for misunderstanding. my experience with the majority of Goreans is that they typically posess a great deal of manners, however there are exceptions...

Need I go on? Are you saying you see no similarities? And even so, why the need to be SO extremely offensive to someone for stating her observation?

i am not saying there are no similarities...there are similarities to all aspects of WIIWD not just Gor. i do not feel i was offensive to kittensol for stating her opinion on her observation -  my comment about her rudeness was based on her reply to fairerthanshe: But as she commented back - she had meant her comment to MrDiscipline and not fairerthanshe.

So, you are a little confused, aren't you :-)

dawntreader -> RE: Code d'Odalisque (5/9/2007 9:59:48 AM)

It would appear so :-)

As a generally curious person, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Code d'Odalisque. Any and all comments are greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
For those who are as clueless (and as curious!) as I am, here's where I found out about it: http://au.geocities.com/silkenways/

I view it the same way I view Gorean.

Very nice fantasy that has a variety of ideas for me to take and implement into my own relationship as I see fit and practical.

dawntreader -> RE: Code d'Odalisque (5/9/2007 10:14:55 AM)

Greetings MadRabbit,

  i do so like your take on this, as with many things you post.

There are many very beautiful things in the code of odelisque as with gorean, and even geisha that could enhance any D/s or M/s relationship. The key is to be open and willing to incorporate what is attractive to the individuals. As i elluded to in an earlier post...if we can be tolerant of a segment of bdsm that enjoys diaper play, why not the beauty of a hareem, the mystery of a geisha, the devotion of a kajira?

Why would we want to limit ourselves from creating something beautiful and unique in our private relationships because we feel it must be judged on realism. i personally have enough of realism in my daily life and love stepping away from it when opportunity presents itself~

My appologies, I was actually responding to MrDiscipline in all my remarks.  I think that Domiguy might have been too and therein lies the misunderstanding.

You were not rude to kittensol, at least I don't remember you being. Like I said, all of my comments were in response to Mr.D and I might have used your response as a starting place but I was not replying to you really.

pssssttt... make sure next time, you hammer your point into his thick little skull. Looks as though he escaped this time. Meow. If you need help... just whistle.

I think if you are going to come out and post on this side it is not a bad idea to leave the Gorean crud at the door when you enter,,,,When you go to your local supermarket do you speak in this manner?

Greetings Master Domiguy;

Yes, sabba does speak with respect when she goes to the local supermarket. sabba also speaks in Italian if someone understands it, so she isn't sure what "Gorean crud" You are referring to. sabba was unaware that in order to come to "this side" one had to give up manners. Thank You so much for informing this girl of that...

sh`ana...yes, a high five is completely appropriate!

well wishes,
sabba{CB}

PrincessEllie -> RE: Code d'Odalisque (5/16/2007 1:35:44 PM)

It sounds like another Gor site. Same idea, different language.
