I wrote this some time ago when thinking about how difficult it could be for us (my owner, myself, and the slave who was supposed to move in with us) to be accepted societally in a poly-type relationship. I was thinking about how beautiful it would be if we could find a place that would just accept us without judgement...
"Finding Home (Our Polyamory)"
What place will we touch down upon
when we fly without resistance or machine?
What cold echo will be left in walking’s place?
Like banners or pennants or a stray ribbon
We have known only anchors so far.
So how will we visit Jupiter or the moon
and make our new home?
Flying is not enough if we are tethered
The earth cannot bind us in her arms
and digging to China will take us closer to nowhere.
Perhaps as a specter or phantom
Translucent and transient
We three will just someday grow
on a new surface.
An oak, a lotus, and a lily
all from
the same root
and no one will notice
our strangeness.
