Right but how did he know removing any part of the brain would give him the power. and i mrean what does he do with it Ingest it? I am talking the tecnicalities to him taking other peoples powers.

*And I thought Syler had no power at all to start with? Thats why he took the first one.

Suresh found him during his search. He just didn't think Sylar had anything that special. We know that Sylar had his mom pushing the "You're Special" thing on him. I'd have to find the episode and watch it again. I consider his knowing how to take the powers as his power, like an instinct. It must be something small that he takes, maybe microscopic, or he'd run out of room in his head. He has all the tools for doing precision work on small objects. I wish they would have explained how he did that first time.

the first time he met someone with special powers he right away identified what was working different within their mind & new exactly what was making them "tick"

domiguy -> RE: Heroes-anybody a fan here? (5/21/2007 7:50:39 PM)

I don't care anymore that ending sucked.....Big fucking donkey dicks......I hope between now and the next season  "Heroes" gets replaced by some new and fucking horrible show featuring that cunt, Tyra Banks.

MistressBastet -> RE: Heroes-anybody a fan here? (5/21/2007 8:03:13 PM)

It was different then what I was exspecting. But when has a comic book ever given you what you exspected?

Yeah, I saw the blood leading down the drain.

I am interested to find out who Molly was talking about. (The one that she does not like to try to think about because they know were she is.) They are leaving them selfs open for the next story line. Its typical of any comic book.

iwannapullurhair -> RE: Heroes-anybody a fan here? (5/21/2007 8:07:24 PM)

My damn recorder ended early, but managed to get a whole two minutes of that dumb ass game show before Heroes. I guess in the future, Sylar picked off Candice and Nathan later.

Spoiler**************************

I saw Hiro land by the Samurai. I guessed long ago that he was his own hero. Right when they started to walk up, the recorder stopped. What happened after that? Was that the ending or was there another scene?

Why didn't Peter fly by himself? Why didn't Nathan drop him in the ocean, hundreds of miles away? I guess Nathan would have got a super dose of radiation in the flight. His boys certainly won't be working anymore even if he dropped him someplace safe and got away from Peter's explosion. Parkman should just forget about having kids in the future too. He's been irradiated over and over.

FatDomDaddy -> RE: Heroes-anybody a fan here? (5/21/2007 8:07:51 PM)

I thought the ending was quite good in fact, it did what it was suppose to do...tie up the story arc and plant the seeds for next season. The whole episode had me on the edge of my seat. We know Peter's not dead and if Peter is not dead, niether is Sylar. (One good, One evil so said Shaft in nice plot device there too.) Did Nathan get far enough away before Peter blew? What is Noah's plan? The shape shifter (actually no, as it appears his power is a projected illusion not the phyical change) is not dead. I like the Noah angle, collecting heroes for the better good of the planet. All the heroes now seem to have an understanding of their powers and some control over them. All in all a great episode finishing a great season.

MistressBastet -> RE: Heroes-anybody a fan here? (5/21/2007 8:10:27 PM)

I think because peter was battline with the new power and trying not to blow up he could not control his other powers thats why nathan had to take him.

RosaB -> RE: Heroes-anybody a fan here? (5/21/2007 8:10:51 PM)

And I thought GA's finally let me down, this was another big let down for a show's end of season.  I feel I need a pill, I feel, weeeeeellllllll, so mentally and emotionally violated.  [:(].     [sm=lol.gif]

What connection does Sylar have to Peter?....Why couldn't Sylar be dead and Peter still alive?...Sylar never got the cheerleader so they saved the world...Peter has already absorbed the cheerleader's power so he might be difficuly to kill.

Anywhoo very bummed!!!! Sylar can stop bullets but he just allows himself to be skewered by Hiro without doing a thing?  The ending sucked!!! Lackluster,  boring!!!.....I just hope the new show that replaces it featuring Tyra Banks at least shows some beav from time to time.

Heroes can deep throat the Domidong......Goddammit!!! I feel like I have been dating an incredibly beautiful woman and she just informed me that for medical reasons ahe can no longer handle anal.....just gonna have to cut her loose.....So long "Heroes"...You time wasting cunts.

Because Sylar never really needed to kill to collect his powers. I am guessing he can absorb them much in the same way Peter can.

domiguy -> RE: Heroes-anybody a fan here? (5/21/2007 8:52:06 PM)

I think you might be mistaken....My understanding was that killing/absorption was the only way Sylar could get his powers....That is the whole concept of save the cheerleader save the world...Anywhooo I can't think about this show any longer....the last episode bitch slapped me in the face....I am so sad and so alone.

aidan -> RE: Heroes-anybody a fan here? (5/21/2007 10:01:07 PM)

Tim Kring said that the nature of how Sylar absorbs powers (beyond eating people's brains) is going to be revealed in the beginnings of Generations.

I'm thinking that Peter and Sylar are both kind of...I'm trying to think of it. They're omegas. They have all the abilities of the other evolutionaries, or at least the possibility for them, in their genetic coding. They just need the proper stimuli or addition to make them active.

(Bare with me, I'm a wee bit ill)

Both are highly unstable, but in fundamentally different ways. Since Sylar directly absorbs his abilities, he has greater control and levels of power. The downside is a limitation to his abilities, and the fact that continued absorbtion of foreign genetic information is deteriorating his mind (and perhaps his body). Peter, since he gets his power through proximity contact, has a wider variety of abilities but less control and weaker levels.

My guess is that the first half of the second season (it's being broken into two smaller Volumes) will focus a lot on the search for Peter (by both Sylar and his friends) and Hiro.

And frankly, I don't get what everyone is complaining about when it comes to the ending. It gave answers, closure, and set up the rest of the saga. That's way better than anything Lost ever did. At least Kring and his team know where the hell they're going.

domiguy -> RE: Heroes-anybody a fan here? (5/21/2007 11:02:35 PM)

It was way fucking boring and predictable...If you could just walk up and stab Syler it would seem someone would have done it episodes ago...What happened to his great hearing...or power of telekinesis...he sent that truck flying to kill radioactive dude....It was handy that he sent Hiro flying after being lanced....I'm bummed last weeks episode was better....this one blew...I am no longer a fan of the show.

LadyPact -> RE: Heroes-anybody a fan here? (5/22/2007 6:58:13 AM)

I had to wait and watch it this morning, since I worked last night.

Ok, yes, the ending was somewhat predictible.  Why Peter didn't fly himself?  My only guess on that one was the part where he said, "I can't stop it.... I can't do anything".  In other words, the radioactive power was taking him over.  Similar to being too scared to move, maybe.

Iwanna was right.  Linderman is really dead.  Candice, Parkman, and D.L. are all still alive.  They never did reveal the screw up about Issac and Simone being in the vision.  That part I was disappointed in.

From the volume 2 preview, Nakamora Sr. appears to be the legend that Hiro heard stories of as a boy.  How that works, I have no clue.  I was hoping to get a glimpse of Mama Petrelli's power before the end, but I was left hanging there, too.  Won't she make an awesome villian if it makes it to volume 3, since she ended up sacraficing both sons for no bomb?  I'm not sure how Charles (Simone's father) fits into the big picture either, but I'm sure there will be more next season.

aidan -> RE: Heroes-anybody a fan here? (5/22/2007 9:50:43 AM)

I actually would like it better if Mrs. Patrelli didn't have powers and remained a great manipulator. Did they say she did? I kinda spaced during that dialogue scene.

I don't think that was Nakamura Sr., but the actual Kensei. He's probably played by George Takei because Hiro is a direct descendant.

As for how Sylar got beaten...He was cocky. It happens. He thought he was in the clear, he couldn't be touched, and suddenly he got jumped. And Peter couldn't fly because, as I postulated before, he has less control over his powers and was overwhelmed by the nuclear energy.

The ending was predictable because...Well...It was predicted. I don't see what everyone's driving at.
