Ok, now for those of you who don't know what that is it's a really super through job of waxing the vagina the lips the anus, anywhere down there with hair.. I've liked the results of a bare vagina in the past, but hated shaving. I heard a Brazil wax job was very good and yielded good results. I've had my eye brows waxed before so I know how I react to that kind of stimuli, and it's not a very pleasant reaction, it hurts and that’s just the eye brows. This is a muuuuuuuuuuch wider area in much tender'er areas. I was wondering if you could do topical anesthetics or local anestiasia where you inject something into the skin and the area goes to sleep?

Has any one done a Brazilian I’ve heard anywhere from that they aren’t all that good clear up to they rock. Some people said the hair grew back almost immediately so it wasn’t worth it others claim to barely have any hair.

I've heard mixed reviews as well, but almost all of the negative ones stated that they have had good experiences too, but that they couldn't go to the place/person they had gone to that did it well anymore. When we were asking about it, they said to ask around for one that always uses topical anesthetics, and see if anyone local to you has a recomendation for who to go to. People in your area (if they can be found and are willing to discuss such things) are going to know which people/places don't do a proper job and which do.

yeah, that's true. Most places just don't do them because of the nature of the area. I was just curious tho if the area could be numbed.

I just started getting Brazilian waxes & I think they work great. I don't get any kind of anesthetic but it's not the most painful thing I've ever had done to me,the lash of a singletail is much worse. It does sting, but you just have to relax & not tense up,that makes things much worse. I have had it done 3 times so far & the hair is much finer & much less profuse than when I started and I am very hairy. I also have my legs done & that hair has been reduced by about 60-70% than from when I started. Over time the hair does get thinner & finer & you can go longer without being waxed. I need to go again & it's been almost 4 weeks, but as I said there is much less from when I started, plus I'm not cutting myself constantly-I had to shave every day.
As has been said ask around & if you don't want to ask in person just call up & at least no one will see your blushes. My waxer is great & makes me feel very comfortable.

Hehe, the blushing is exactly why I said "call around" not "go around"

Thank you all for the wonderfull input.

Sweet how did you find yours? Was it a major brand salon or something more discreet like lil boteeks.

* Please forgive that horrendous mispell I can never spell words like that, I spell it how it sounds to me.*

heh, I haven't done it yet - as much as I hate how time consuming it is, I prefer the feel of freshly shaven skin (added sensitivity).

Look in the phone book for places that do body waxing. Spas usually have that, but not all - there are some around here that specify that they only do facial waxing. Look under "Beauty" and "hair removal" and remember - they do this for a living, they have heard every question in the book, as well as a few that aren't in there. They have seen some of the most disgusting things on the planet and have survived. There isn't much that will faze these people anymore - they have seen it all, and waxed it off.

I was recommended to the salon I use by my Sir, he's friends with the owner. It's a toning, tanning salon that also does waxing. She's very discreet & makes me feel comfortable even with my butt in the air or my legs wide open trying to get those sneaky little hairs. If you know people who get waxed even if its just legs or a regular bikini wax call the salon & tell them what you're looking for. If you try one place & don't feel comfortable there's nothing stopping you from finding another. Also if you belong to any local groups,or if there any around ask on the message boards for some recommendations, I found my kink friendly gynecolgist that way.

I loved my brazilian. I am NOT a masochist, I do NOT get off on pain at all, but honestly, the pain was very manageable for me. It stung and was annoying for a day with irritation afterwards but it rocked!

The hair grew back MUCH slower (since you have pulled the roots out completely, they have to reform first). And when it grows back it is softer and smoother (because it is growing a full hair, not a sliced edge from a razor) and over time will grow back slower and less (because the hair follicles will eventually stop reforming).

It's more expensive of course, and worth going to a pro for. I don't have enough research on the laser surgery but from what I've heard it's good too and the thing to do if you want permanance. But I absolutely recommend. The pain is more than manageable.

One of the places here offers laser removal ... I keep thinking about it, I hate my body hair - all of it. All I want is my eyebrows and what is on my scalp. Everything else should vanish ... but it would take way too long to remove it all (thank god I'm a blond ... at least it isn't visible to others even if it grosses me out).

LOL Sweet I can't stand watching other people brush their teeth, even in movies and on TV. When I told the boyfriend, he said "knowing everything that I do about you, that's definitely a weird quirk."

So same to you- we've all got our weird irrational quirks in life.

Hehehe, nice to know I'm not alone out here.

So, has anyone tried the laser removal? Or know anyone who has? I refuse to pay big bucks for something that isn't going to work ....

Heh, even the ones on my arms are going to go eventually. I can hardly stand that they exist. I only tolerate them becuase it would take me hours to get rid of them at this point, and well ... I am blond, so it's really light, and apparently I'm the only one who notices that I even have arm hair.

I am definitely going to get a Brazilian done sometime soon...

As for the laser hair removal, I used to work as an esthetician and I know for a fact that it definitely DOES work, but you will more than likely be shelling out big bucks all the time for something that does work.

The thing with the LHR is that you have to keep going back for several treatments until the hair is completely gone. Once you do this, of course, you won't have any more hair, thus no more spending money on waxes, razors, etc...

But you do need to know that most people have to go in for at least 3 treatments (treatments are generally sold in bunches) and that it is costly, but definitely effective. I have heard some people say that it hurts like h#^ll and others who say that it's not too bad. So... I guess it all depends.

I got my eyebrow's waxed and now I have huge ugly scaly patches of skin dander, I used to get mild dandruff, brush it off wash face no problem. But now it's horrible patches, and it's reoccuring, and lotion doesn't really help. Before that I had no real problems. And second time I waxed she did it better than first lady, but that time I broke out with tiny baby pimples all over the wax sights :\

You probably have very sensitive skin and the pimples are due to clogged pores.

Make sure you aren't taking medications which would react to exposed skin, and that you aren't out in the sun very much.

Make sure that you exfoliate the areas very thoroughly and use mild products on it.

As well, as you do it more often, your skin should adjust somewhat. Waxing pretty much takes off the top layers of skin.
