I'm wondering how many people go to the actual trouble to scan in nude pictures of themselves (or have them taken with a digital camera) and never bother to get a regular picture of themselves on their computer.

I "meet" people like this through various community sites and I am always left wondering if a) they're spammers just trying to get my email address or b) they're phonies that have scarfed some nude pics from the net and put up on their profile as "them".

I have seen cases where it was blatantly obvious because the pic still had a porn site URL on it! How stupid do they think I am?

However, I can see the possibility that someone might have nude pics but no regular pics. The question is... how probable is it?

The first photos I ever scanned into a computer were b&w nude and semi-nude photos from a modelling shoot... I never realised how weird that was til someone asked for a picture of me, and I realised all I had on there were 50 odd naked pics!! So after that I scanned in some regular head shots... So for someone as ditzy as me, it can be very probable!! Depends which Minx is running the brain that day... *grins*

I can understand why someone with a strict, conservative lifestyle/job outside of the kink world might be comfortable showing off their body parts and not their face.

Unfortunately in a judgmental world, some people have jobs to protect

*chuckle* I got told by more than a few people who have emailed me that I can't be real because I didn't have pics of any of my actual scenes posted.

The lengths people will go for attention and response...

I am curious why a man would post nude pics of his woman on CM. Even if they are looking for a partner, isn't it ...ummm...unneccessary and disrespectful?? Aren't somethings just better when not shared with complete strangers? Is this the 'slave / property' mentality I don't comprehend? What is he trying to prove?

I am all for individuals posting nudes but see it as a real ego booster for the middle aged guy putting HER nude pic here. Buy a sports car and let her keep (or learn) some dignity.

Sure, but what those things are depends on the person. What you consider better in private, others consider better in public. I love talking about masturbation and sexual techniques and have often been told I share too much. But there are things that others talk about very casually that I will NEVER share publicly. Shouldn't we be proud of who we are?

How have I lost my dignity because the Owner likes to show me off and share me around? Isn't it a statement of how well I am trained and how much he trusts me?

Dunno, maybe he doesn't want to show it off, if you've seen the other thread, male nude pics are not taken to as nicely as female nude pics are.

Women take better photos too. We are simply more interesting to look at, in my opinion.

I guess what I seek in a Dom is someone a bit more selective in who they would share me w/. Someone who wants a bit of me exclusively for him.

To each his own but I don't have anything to prove in the cyber world. The men I mentioned earlier seem to have a need to display their 'trophy' and I think the women should make sure it is what they want.

The gr8 thing about CM is the unspoken agreement to accept 'disagreement.' I respect all actions that have been well thought out by all involved parties.

Not to get too off-topic.

Part of it is BECAUSE of my academic background, I'm very smart and very well educated. I think a LOT, I work a LOT, I am a control freak, I have moderate OCD, I am the social planner for my group of friends.

Being an object means you don't have to think, you don't have to stress, you just have to BE that object. You are there, purely and passively, for service and use. There's no need for you to interpret anything, no need for you to react, only simply to BE there.

That's a pretty awesome state of being for me.

Another part, the shown off part, is because I am an exhibitionist, I get a huge charge out of people's energy when they enjoy looking and playing with me. They are giving ME lots of attention, they want to touch ME, they want to use ME for pleasure, I can provide them with a release, with a good time, a good memory.

The sexual usage part is just part of my universal sex fantasy life- it's just hot to be used, hot to be a hole to go in, do your thing and get out. I don't really know much about that other than what I've already stated. I can't tell you why it gets me so deep any more than I can tell you why bondage does.

Something most subs and slaves can understand- it takes away choice. You don't have to think, you don't get to say no, you are there to always say YES, an object, a trophy doesn't get to say stop or get to dictate how it is used.

I am somewhat materialistic in that I like to use my money and gifts to show people I care for them. It's a physical thing I can give to show I've been thinking of them and want to add to their lives. While I understand they don't NEED those things, it's a very powerful idea to me. So, to BE the object itself, to be given to someone else, has a distinct personal flavor to it.

You'll notice- all of these reasons are about ME, what I enjoy, what I get out of it.

The Owner will pass me around and use me in ways I don't necessarily enjoy directly. He will send me to people I don't have an affinity for, partly because he KNOWS I don't have an affinity for them. So I don't necessarily always love it, with anyone, anywhere. There are definitely circumstances in which I really hate it.

But I hope this helps you understand a bit more.

Thank you EmeraldSlave. That is the best and clearest outline of why someone would wish to be a slave and what they receive from it. You have shown the intense and personal value this has to you. I may not have asked the question but I was curious.

And that's a pretty awesome post. I appreciated the way you were able to express how you fulfilled your needs through giving up everything to another. I think too often people are expecting a slave to be completely selfless and not have their own interests in mind which is preposterous. How is it anyone here gets "adult" photos on their profile ? I've submitted 4 for my profile and all were turned down as not falling withing profile guidelines. All were of my sub, cuffed, after a spanking etc...
