so is the knight in shining armor a sub, SwItCh, or Dom/me? on one hand, he risking it all to please the helpless princess in peril, so sub? on the other hand, the princess is helpless ( or so the stories go ) and the prince is in fact rescueing her from a situation she cannot control, so Dom/me?

well, there has to be a reason that the classic faery-tales make nice erotica when embellished... phoenix

if you look at the Le Morte de Artur, or the Arthurian Legends, where the template of many of our ideas of chivalry is from; you'll find that the helpless princess, or helpless female is not truly in evidence... also, i find nothing that contradicts the ideals of submission in acting as a champion for your Lady

i believe that the "knight" personality archtype has little to do in ascribing Dominance or submission in an individual, but only the motivations of each person involved

as i am known to say, i don't hold a door for a woman because she can't do it herself; but because she shouldn't have to

hehe, i'm a slave and my Mate still opens doors for me.
thanks for your answer, i was just staring my print of "the Accolaide" with the knight-to-be knealing before the lady and all sorts of things starting flying in my mind, so i posted the tamest.
opinions fascinate me.

If the armor is way too shiny and appears to have never been used in combat there is a distinct possibility your knight is a homo.

phoenixinchains -> RE: Knights in Black Leather... (5/10/2007 4:25:12 PM)

shiny could just mean they've got a well trained squire,

ohhhh ooohhh ... may I get captured by the hunky Indian Warrior?  **fanning  warm cheeks**  Now that would be my vision of a Knight (albeit in a loincloth ... just not a shiny one ...lol). [image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m10.gif[/image]

<changed "can I" to "may I">  cuz I just had feeling someone was gonna ask ... dunno, can you? heh

Plenty of homos have seen combat, actually.

My knights in shining armour have always turned out to be tinned hams.
I'd rather a knight in dented, dinged, scuffed and battered armour -- it tells me he has survived a few things.  (Of course a Celtic Warrior in his tartans wouldn't be a bad option either...)
