Grlwithboy -> RE: Pro-stitute? (no flames please) (11/15/2007 4:10:25 PM)

Honestly, I would have rejected the label "prostitute" for myself, because to the vast majority of people it would carry the assumptions of handjobs and inserting their dick into one of my body parts, none of which I provided. (I didn't offer strap on, even)

I don't have a problem with the profession, I just have an ethical twitch about false advertising which saying "I am a prostitue" would have been because of the common definition. Sex worker, sure. I worked and still do over the phone with human sexuality and sexual desire.

And there we have it.

If one of my girls advertised "Prostitution" and provided her client with a flogging, there's a good bet she's not going to get paid.  This suggests that what she's doing is not more prostitution than any other personal service availible on the market.

Im in the same boat.... first off, my policy is now & never- NO SEX, NO MUTUAL MASTURBATION- sometimes i dont even let them masturbate (denial is such fun) But anyway...i have to say, why is it so bad to work with human sexuality? Our culture/society has made it way too taboo, anyway.

Dnomyar -> RE: Pro-stitute? (no flames please) (11/16/2007 5:00:50 AM)

Sex worker. Good grief. Let's cover up what it really is. Let's go into denial.  Lmao. I'm not a cock sucker I just give blow jobs. I'm  not into anal I'm just fucking her in the ass. ect. ect. ect

Jasmyn -> RE: Pro-stitute? (no flames please) (11/16/2007 6:07:33 AM)

You might want to lower your hem line  .. .your ignorance is showing

xoxi -> RE: Pro-stitute? (no flames please) (11/16/2007 7:10:50 AM)

There is a difference between a sex worker and a prostitute.  "Sex worker" is a category that includes prostitution.  It also includes pro Dommes, phone sex operators, strippers, porn stars, etc.

If I advertised as a prostitute and performed the acts of a phone sex operator my client would not be happy.

And for that matter...if I advertised as a Pro Domme...and all I did was come over, give a blowjob, then lay down and spread my legs (aka perform the job duties of a prostitute) I reeeeeeeally don't think I would get another session.

There is enough difference in the job requirements of a Pro Domme and those of a prostitute, with very little overlap, to say that the two are not equivalent.  They both fall under the category of sex workers...but dolphins and kittens both fall under the category of mammals.  Not the same animal.  Not the same job.

LATEXBABY64 -> RE: Pro-stitute? (no flames please) (11/16/2007 7:21:31 AM)

Labels polictical correctness lol  ok whats I can see all points this is good lol To me i guess you just see it for what is hope you do not get busted  If your doing something you know is wrong sooner or later its gonna be curtians for ya always happens maybe that is thrill beating the system shrugs

Dnomyar -> RE: Pro-stitute? (no flames please) (11/16/2007 7:45:59 AM)

I am not getting on anyone on here for who they are or what they do. It is the labeling that bothers me. Changing the label to hide what you are doing fools no one. It is just a form of going into denial.

Jasmyn -> RE: Pro-stitute? (no flames please) (11/16/2007 8:15:16 AM)

Dnomyar ... the labeling isn't of concern either ... when sessions are done that are sexually charged 'sex worker' hat fits well and truely ... bring it on ...Meretrice is a beautiful word ...

But it is the insistence that all pro dom sessions or professions are sexual in nature that does my head in ... when not every session or professional is conducted such.

*tugs at ya hemline*

Dnomyar -> RE: Pro-stitute? (no flames please) (11/16/2007 9:44:57 AM)

What is Meretrice?  I have enough trouble with my American english.

Jasmyn -> RE: Pro-stitute? (no flames please) (11/16/2007 10:41:17 AM)

Dnomyar ... Meretrix = prostitute in Ancient Rome/Greece ...

I'm not  ignorant and obnoxious, I just sound that way.

Is there some part of "I don't do the activities associated with prostitution so calling myself one doesn't fit" that isn't making sense, or have you just made up your mind already no matter what?

Calling it whatever you want to suit you *is* stupid, I agree. You can call me a padded envelope mailer and it makes as much sense.

I actually thought that posting the criminal code for prostitution in my state might make a difference.  The legal definition of prostitution does not include any of the things a pro domme does an any state I know of but Arizona.  We're happy to beat the system with canes, floggers, etc., but we're not licking its balls.

I'm very curious why you're so adamant about something you're clearly ignorant about.

I think the words "shoulder" and "chip" come in to it. You may be curious for a long time!

We all have a God-given right to willful ignorance.
