Think about telecommuting, for education, paid work, and/or volunteer labor. I'm a big fan of learning languages, but there are other good skills, I am sure--what do you want to do? If your goal is to directly enrich the household, perhaps home-improvement projects are in order. Read books! Read the "great books," the canonical works of the "Western Canon"--and if you like, non-western traditions too. This doesn't need to cost you anything: Project Gutenberg has public-domain texts of many classics ancient and modern, with English translations, accessible online. I'd advocate starting at the beginning of the written tradition and reading texts across the humanities (literature, religion, philosophy, natural philosophy) but you could tailor this to your interests.
