What I find curious, farglebargle, is how emotionally tied up with this whole topic he is. 

He gives links to people from news site A parroting from news site B.  He uses foul language.  He uses insulting and derogatory names.  As Peyton Quinn once wrote "Either you are in control of yourself, or somebody else is" and in any other venue where the person had not checked Dominant on their profile, I might be dubious about the person's ability to control themselves or their emotions.  The check mark proves who is in control, I suppose.

He posts links proving that Saddam had weapons.  I agree that yes, Saddam had weapons.

So he takes the logic one step further and state that since Saddam had weapons, and since these were not found by the United States, Saddam must have smuggled them into Syria or wherever.

An interesting leap of faith.  Reminds me of Intelligent Design people.  The logic of "I cant figure it out, so it must be an Intelligent Designer" or Saddam.

He does not post links to data from the dozens of spy satellites or google earth spinning around the planet taking pictures, filing them in DATE AND TIME ORDER ON THE INTERNET, showing the trucks filled with WMDs.  I imagine he doesnt have access to the various satellites that do the same thing sensing for radioactive sources, although I find it odd that AnencephalyBoy was unable to provide any of these to support his war.

From my opinion, this is the swan song of people who prefer to let Rush Limbaugh or Ann Coulter think for them, and want to keep their brain nice and unwrinkled and shiny by not using it to think things through or do proper research.

Frankly, one of my jobs involves being in arguments with people, and I have to say that most of my students are a lot more articulate and intelligent and erudite in their arguments.

I would point out that it takes a lot more to upset me, but since the person attacking me is overly incensed by the information, I suspect they project their inability to control their temper onto me and think I must also be unable to control my temper and think clearly.

Good luck getting your questions answered, farglebargle, but I know a lost cause when it calls me names.

That "Duty" isn't delegated in the Constitution, so unless you Hate America, you'll have to agree it isn't their DUTY at all.

Pretty much... The CogSci people refer to it as "Cognitive Frames"... Since "reality" doesn't match his beliefs, he's literally BLIND to logic, facts, etc.

I dont, however, think it is the job of my freaking country to fix everybody else's country.  We have enough to do here.

I have NO CLUE why people put up with No Child Gets Ahead, but there we are, a perfect example of Unconstitutional "Duty".

The COMMIES and SOCIALISTS are all for saying it is the States "DUTY" to be responsible for whatever they feel needs controlling, regardless of whether it's been delegated.

NEOCON PARTY WHORES are like WUSSY SOCIALISTS...

It's like being a closeted homosexual, and bashing other Gays. The INSISTENCE that the US be The World's Mommy/Prison Guard/Cop shows a deep down hatred of the Declaration, Constitution, and other Conservative American Values, and their true Lib/Socialist/Communist beliefs.

I suspect people like that get so wound up because they're in denial.

A quick litmus test? The Neocon Party Whore will make excuses for Torture, which like rape is inherently evil, and can never be excused.

The REAL CONSERVATIVE AMERICAN will instantly denounce Torture, and indeed ANY deprivation of Due Process and Equal Protection.

I did not "take the logic one step" anywhere.

I gave you almost half a dozen links that back up what I am saying.

Strangely enough, something you have failed to do repeatedly, not to mention twisting everything I say to send us on some Magic Carpet Ride.

Sinergy: What I find amusing is that Sir Kenin asserts that the sky is grey, but when the sun is out it is yellow.  Then he takes his logic one step further and presents Monet's painting of Water-Lilies to back up his argument that the sky is, in fact, green.

Farglebargle: Yeah, I distinctly remember pointing out to him a work of Kandinsky that clearly illustrates that the sky is Yellow Red Blue (1925).  I told him the way he was going to play this game and for some reason all he did was present the photographs of the sky.
