--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

one was reading the list of lifestyle terms with definitions kindly posted by Someone on another thread. she came across the term, "Bottom Drop"

one is new to the Lifestyle other than from a srict Gorean perspective, however is exploring cautiously.

one believes after her last session she experienced Bottom Drop, and would like to know more about it. how long after the "session" does it tend to set in, how long can it be expected to last, what if anything can be done to prevent it, and how does one deal with it if it does set in?

one thanks All for the advice.

respectfully,

lita {Tshai}

It can vary from person to person. I have an article online that explains what it is and what you can do to get through it easier. Have a look at http://www.consent.co.nz/sub2.htm

litaTshai
click the Steel link below and you can read
much on bottom drop there and other lifestyle
issues, and of course you have a inside tract
as to how to find Me when not here to pick
My brain if you dare wander into My Homestone..

Thank you Toya for one of the best explanations I've seen on what sub drop is and how to deal with it. Thank you also for remembering that Tops drop too.

Although I am currently unattached I do file information for future use.

I was thinking to leave a "secret message" for my sub after a good visit. Would a letter of praise and commendation left for my sub to find after I'm gone help to alleviate some of the anxiety, or would it only prolong the drop? It worries me to think that my sub would be suffering when I can't help.

Smiles, Vivaine

Any form of reassurance or contact is wonderful. How your sub is going to react is not something I could predict, we are all different and experience drop is differing ways. Lots of communication however is important to reassure that all is ok.

Thankyou Toya for that link as the Steel Door link is now closed.

Can someone explain the concept of "bottom drop?" Never heard the term, and my browser search tools aren't netting me any results. *grumbles*

Gratsi!

postscripted edit:

Also, I can't get the link from earlier in the thread to work.
