What does it mean when a Dom says that looks are not important, it is their willingness to submit? Surely there has to be some sort of attraction between two people? Or is the Dom looking for a Doormat?

I guess that would depend on the dom. To me, looks really aren't important as long as the sub/slave is clean and presentable. If I went based soley on appearance, i'd be a very lonely person. I look to the inside of a person, that which holds all they are. Personality, character, intellegince...things like that.

I wouldn't know what to think of someone who stated, "looks don't matter."....Wouldn't it make you feel great? Maybe he could get a t-shirt that says...."To me looks were never important...That's why I'm with her!"

So when someone says, looks arnt important, that means looks arent the most important aspect? But we are all attracted to something different.. surely there must be more than being clean etc? If sex is involved there must be something to attract you to that person phsically? (sorry, cant spell)

"Looks aren't important" means, to me, that someone is open to all shapes, sizes, colors, etc....that there is some potential for attraction no matter what. I'm that way....to a point. When one is disheveled, unkempt and dirty...looks cleanliness matters. If you are tall, short, heavy, slim, average, petite, black, white, tan, pale....it matters not. I am an equal opportunity Dominant!

I am certainly attracted to certain people more than others, BUT if I were to dismiss someone soley on how they look I would be a horrible person, in my own opinion. I mean, think about it... There are many people who fall in love with a "super model" then said super model gets into a car crash and loses their looks. Many are the types to walk away from love over looks, and many would never consider it. The person is the same no matter what. Think of it that way. Some people's car crashes were simply genetic :-P

Oh, pish tosh. How many of you want to get down with someone who has three crooked teeth, leathery wrinkly skin, weighs 85 lbs. (or 685 lbs., pick your ick), and has unsightly body hair. And a lazy eye. Of course looks are stinking important. Hopefully you wouldn't date a crazy, psychotic bombshell over a pudgy, plain jane mensa girl, but it's going to figure in there somehow or another.

Some people's car crashes were simply genetic :-P I don't believe you!!!....I have never heard of a super model that got into a car crash and lost her looks....This would be a horrible tragedy....I can only imagine that if I were dating a super model and she did happen to get into a car crash or posssibly developed some sort of an illness or condition that altered her appearance...Well, I'm sure that I would be devastated for my loss!!!....And I know although it would be an extremely difficult time for me I think I could find the resolve and innerstrength that would be required to move on....But I'm brave that way!....What makes God and this country so great is that we keep producing more and younger versions of these supermodels so just in case yours breaks down on your path through life she can be easily and almost painlessly replaced. If unattractive people get hurt in an automobile accident or a plane crash does it make the news?

Ok, to me looks matter to a point. I would like a woman thinner than me, younger, and for love of the gods less hairy! You would think that would not be that hard of a guideline... but one would be surprised. Though I will say, that looks do not matter in the sense that I have met some women that were "beautiful" until they opened their mouths and I found how toxic their personalities were or how lacking in intelligence they were. Stupid people are never sexy.

Man.... there's the mole lady on the bus (and I mean she is COVERED) , the chick with cataracts at the mini mart who I can't even look at, there's Little Miss Tanning Bed (who is 50 going on 204... she looks like beef jerky and her eyes are always bloodshot) and then there are the Toothless Ones with the level-three-sex-offender glasses shudder Maybe I just don't like to think of myself as vain, but I'm telling you, I have seen some untouchables in my time! grin

Many people find that the greatest erogenous zone is the brain (mind and heart). Many people also find their greatest sexual satisfaction is derived through emotional intimacy, not physical gratification with a perfect physical specimen. If you are locked into the concept that sex is purely physical, you are missing out on most of the pleasure.
