Very glad to have found this site, and hoping to meet some interesting people! Since it seems it may be a few days before my profile becomes available. I thought I'd introduce myself by repeating it here [:)]
Physically, I am 100% Dom with a sadistic streak, but emotionally things are more complex with me. Emotionally, not only am I not sadistic, but tend far more towards being overly kind. This does not mean lack of emotional dominance, but the divide between my physical and emotional tastes is confusing to some.
It is important to me that I understand her well, and I am carefull to know her likes and dislikes, in all ways, not just sexually. I wish to know my slave/sub intimately as a person with all the complexities. Why does she enjoy what she does? How did she come to be who she is? Some have said this is not true Dominance, that a true Dom will not ask or care if his sub enjoys the specifics of any activity, that her pleasure comes only from the giving and sacrifice, and that for him to pay attention to her in this regard diminishes that aspect. For some, perhaps this is true, but it is not me.
I wish one that is comfortable sharing her desires, and does not see it as a lack of domination if I inquire or care. This does not mean I will always defer to her wishes, but I will at times, and her satisfaction is of importance to me.
I also am not one to stand on ritual. A slave's attitude is important, but that she express it in ways traditional to a specific traditionally accepted form is not. As one small example, the many rules surrounding the Gorean master/slave relationship come to mind. I may happily keep a slave chained by the bed at my feet at times if it adds to the overall relationship, but would not consider the specific act important or necessary if it did not. Every relationship is unique, and what adds to the overall mix in one, may not in another. I am flexible in my demands, another aspect of my personality that some would say is not appropriate in a Dom, but hey, I am who I am :)
Ultimately, I seek a long-term 24/7 relationship, but while searching for that, enjoy shorter term play in the interim as well.
