Ok here's my take on the whole femdom glam thing. First of all I hate anything confining or uncomfortable. In some of my old pictures you'll see me wearing latex but it was for photo shoots or videos. I do, however love silk and most of the time I'm barefoot. My daily wear is jeans & cowboy boots unless I'm in the house or working at the PC, which I am now and wear only an oversized men's V-neck T-shirt. I purposely sit my bare ass on a special towel that gets used for certain rituals I perform. Lol


I don't dress for anyone, HOWEVER I believe that fetish wear, lingerie and the like is part of the ritual. Symbolically it sets the ambience, so to speak and if I put on a subs FAVORITE outfit then he better watch out because I'm seriously heading in for major manipulation. Yeah that's right its ammunition and I'll use whatever it takes to get what I want. Sorry but I want him/her speechless, shaking and ready to do anything to please me. NO its not that they won't do it while I am in cowboy boots or sweat pants but I can certainly jump start their heart (and libido)  by bringing in the big guns.

I cannot tell you the last time I wore a skirt or a dress though I have a few so I must have at one time worn them (well there are a few in the closet with tags on them still). I rarely dress up in the convential sense as it is simply uncomfortable to me most of the time. I have found that a cheap corset (which means there is no real boning in it), jeans and boots is dressing up enough for me becasue I am still comfortable in that. I must say though that even that dressed up is rare for me becasue I tend to just do the blouse rather than that corset. In the winter I wear a leather jacket that was given to me so I guess that is dressing up though I look at it as the fact that I love leather and when it is cold it is great.

I love the sweat pant worship idea as I have doen the PJ bottom worship.

Do you whatever that may be!

Oh I love to get all dressed up in heels and a dress, I also like to wear things that make me feel more sexy......it's just that I do it because I enjoy it. If I didn't, then I wouldn't.

I agree with this totally LaTigresse.  And I agree with MsKatHouston too...I dress for the occasion, then Myself, then him. 
When I get home the first things off are the bra and the shoes (sometimes the bra is off in the car).  I love to wear soft little chemises made of cotton - can't stand satin or silk in the heat.  I don't have any leather or vinyl or latex as they all make Me too damn hot, but I do have tons of the sexy lingerie.  It usually doesn't stay on long anyway!  And *oo* luckily I love how thigh highs look and feel, and the boy does too. [:D]  As for high heels and boots.. I am an island Woman, I hate that confinement.  Give Me bare feet or flip flops and I am happy.
 
I think as long as you feel confident, beautiful and sexy, the submissive will think that too.

I love chemises too!  They are so comfortable and cool, yet, I think, very sexy.  Bare feet and polished toes can be  just as sexy as nylons and strappy high heels and ever so much more comfortable!  .I like to get dressed up when the occasion warrants, in flirty skits or dresses and heels, but the fetish wear is strictly for fetish occasions.  Although it can make Me feel sexy, it is not that important to Me.  I feel just as sexy in My yoga pants, jeweled sandals (flat!) and a spaghetti strap top.
I am comfort all the way...  
And I am concerned that we are bursting many bubbles here!  *Smile*

I had my NEW slave here three days.  I picked him up at the airport in jeans and a nice shirt.  Make up, hair fixed.  I got home and changed into my husband's t shirt and shorts (I have a big hubby and his clothes swallow me and are sooooooo comfy).  I wore pajama bottoms and a tshirt the next day til we went out, and I donned jeans and a donald duck t shirt.  Once home, it was evening and I was back in the pajamas.  Yesterday, except when out of the house I wore a t shirt and shorts (again, hubby's) or pajamas.  Today, my husband's t shirt and a pair of sweat a zillion sizes too big...until we left for the airport and I donned jeans again. 

Never once was he disappointed, never once did he feel I wasn't beautiful, never once did he suggest I should be dressed otherwise, never once did say he wasn't interested in me or suggest that I wasn't a dominant or his Mistress. 

Of course I feel I have the best, most wonderful slave ever....

As you can see...comfy is key!!!!  I do love my leather and heels though!

Great thread MzMia!

Even when I do play dress up, I do it for me, to convey a mood or an undercurrent to the situation. I don't do it for the sub.

I dress for me, I dress in what makes me feel comfortable or sexy depending on the mood I'm in. With my schedule lately of school and work I usually come home and put on my pin striped silk pj's and robe or one of many many many pairs of flannel kitschy pj's. I have lots of sports related jersey shirts as well. If it's warm I go with an oversized men's cotton button down or my 2 decades old Walter Payton Bears football jersey and not much else. Throw my hair up in a clip or a bun, slip my feet into my fuzzy maniacal cow slippers (it's a shame really that the moo-er is dead) and start studying or doing homework.

Oops!  I forgot about my actual slippers!  In Az, barefoot or sandals/flip flops  to keep feet from scorpions on the patio and work well, but when the weather turns cool, I love My "troll" slippers which are huge, fuzzy and one is purple while the other is orange.   *Smile  I also have pink pair and a blue pair which are a little fuzzy and they each have matching bows!     Sometimes I like short little peds style socks ...

I have variables of dressing.
Sometimes its the Goddess Gown,that I like to wear when I am
in the pamper mood,you know the foot soak and massage.
Sometimes its a tank top and a jean skirt with black boots.
Other times if someone really likes pain,I like to wear
something either leather or vinyl with the sharp heeled boots.
Dressing for sessions also depends on the weather,I will not freeze for anyone so if My feet are cold the slippers are going on..LOL

Dressing up of the submissives is fun too.Prisoner outfits,tarzan loin cloth, maids outfit.
A dress and high heels with nylons,then make them vacuum,thats My favorite.

Humm I am not concerned about bursting bubbles, LOL
If they think women are going to live and dress in fetish wear 24/7 to please them,
then they need to consider being work horses after working full time jobs all day.
I am looking for someone to help make my life easier, not another job when I get home.

MzMia, the thread turned out to be more popular than you thought <wink>.  There seem to be quite a few of Us that appreciate a good pair of slippers.
 
As far as the bubble bursting <shrug> who cares?  The truth is, I dress more often than not.  Like others have said, I do it for Me.  When I'm in dress down mode, I do that for Me, too.  Work days are more the comfort days, but I enjoy the boost that dressing gives on My days off.  Still, it really is for Me, no matter which I do.

I'm all about being comfy - although, if it's warm enough, I far prefer being barefoot, and I'm currently without slippers *grumble*  I do have some really comfortable slip on shoes that I wear though - and I'm definitely a jeans and t-shirt kinda woman.  I dress up on rare occation, and pretty much only when/if I want to.

I always have about 5 pairs of slippers and flip flops I wear around the house.
I even buy expensive slippers when they are on sale.
Get some designer slippers.

I am curious, who dresses totally for herself around here, or do you feel you need to dress up to please a

And, IF you live with a submissive and you manage to dress up on a daily basis, my hat is off to you! [sm=applause.gif]
Especially those that live with their submissives, it is a lot easier to play dress up when you do not live 24/7.
We all know that when we are "dating" we go out of our way to look our best all the time, and honey that does
change when you live with someone.[;)]
For some strange reason, I can't think of many Dominant men that put on leather pants or dress up around the
house on a daily basis.
I don't see this as a right or wrong question, just curious and wondering if I am the only casual, laid back,

I agree with you that this "lifestyle" is not about costumes or other affectations of the sterotypical "mistress".  It's about authenticity. 

The appeal of a dominant Woman is that she does what she wants, when she wants and how she wants and she does not care in the least whether someone likes it or not.   That strengh, that self-confidence and that carefree attitude is what draws the Submissive man to Her.  It's as simple as that. :)

Keep those feet in the cozy bedroom slippers!
