i have a friend who liked to use household objects almost exclusively and another who was quite inventive... There's a thing the first did with dental floss that was very cool and the twisty thing on the window blinds makes an effective cane. The chopsticks with rubber bands is great too. my more inventive friend built a dildo attachment for his repriocating saw...

Dear stella40, Ladies and Gentlemen;

I will add to the existing list:

Plastic diamond patterned net used to contain fruits/vegetables to lay flat and then place clothespins gathering a section of net then skin. Get enough around the genitals and rip off--will make the "Super Dooper Ripper Zipper" that is intense pain, like peeling skin off.

Rat and mice traps. Wood American Rat and Mice Traps have a rolled edge that snaps closed. Placing gently on nipples and or genitals, the appearance is much more scary then the actual discomfort.

Yard sticks, rulers work.

The plastic round wand that are on most household window blinds/shades work well as canes.

Wood dowels found in hardware stores as well as hanging curtains over windows make great canes.

Pot scrubbers work lovely for sensation play. Even clothing works great, old fur collars on coats, wool coats, silk ties and scarves, socks to restrict fingers and lace inside pot holders. Warm hand soap or shampoo makes a good sensation like blood trail, by dripping it over someone and draw it down with an edge of a knife, or credit card.

Aluminum foil crumpled makes its own sensations.

Brownie dough that has been mixed but not poured can act as a false human voiding for those who don't want to actually 'brown' someone; just warm the batter, put into a plastic bag, snip the end and squeeze. Blindfolded, they cannot tell.

Chef's apron backwards makes a good impromptu 'pony blanket.'

Slipper's soles have been used since Victorian ages to spank with. Just as belts have been used to strap someone; the razor strap to strike with as well.

It really is up to a creative mind to use household items.

I've often said my favourite kink shop is Canadian Tire (Home Depot works too). I've used c-clamps from the tool kit for nipple clamps, and wide paint brushes slightly wet make a lovely sound and impact on a sub's rump.
I've used a pattern tracing wheel as a whartenburg wheel substitute; industrial sewing supplies can provide great ideas. A bit of the rough part of velcro against nipples or clit leads to impressive squirming. Hair "scrunchies" can be pulled into emergency service as cock rings or wrist bindings if sturdy enough.
One of those Zyliss cheese graters can be used to grate ice on to a bound sub; that can be fun when alternated with wax.
Mustn't forget the tiger balm either, or for those who think they are as tough as can be, Dave's Insanity Hot sauce. A bit of that on an abrasion or sensitive membranes is a powerful experience.

Punk and I practically assembled the home made portable potty
at Home Depot...I had the plans of how high it would be etc ...the only thing we didnt do was drill holes to attach the toilet seat...some people looked at us funny...
LOL...that was the best time we had there.

Oh and home depot has the best rope and its comes in a rainbow of colors.

Ooh, I've used plumbing supplies and pvc piping to make a chastity device. Dowel rods and some zipties can create a nifty little humbler. A plumbing snake can leave a delightful pattern impression on skin.

From my kitchen I adore my microplane for abrasion play or removing wax or even for slapping certain parts of the anatomy. Here's something that is a bit unusual or off the beatin path that I have a fetish for... "Diabetic blood testing lancets"

I grew up in a household with these things around and incorperated them into my BDSM play activities.
