When taking on a new sub, experienced or not, what kind of scenes do you like to use?

Depends alot on my mood and his limits. For the first few times for me it's always about where he is when I am doing something with him. I tend to stop before taking him to far. This way I get a chance to learn about his body and how far he can be pushed.

I'm much the same way as Majik.  I prefer to keep things simple and explain that I am doing so for comfort and learning.  I like him to realize that this is but the iceberg tip and there is more to come if he doesn't run screaming...

I almost always engage in rope harnessing, not necessarily restrictive and then I use a plethora of things from my toy bag mingled with soft and sensual things.  I am always um....platonic (for lack of a better word) the first time or two as well.   I simply don't believe in getting intimate (except kissing) when just meeting and still not completely sure the dynamic is going to work.

For me, kissing is huge.  If I like him, I'm going to kiss him.  If the kiss doesn't work then I know we won't work.

For my new slave, Robert...I felt such a huge connection right away I broke my pattern completely.

I like to start off slow and sensual.  I do a lot of teasing through e-mails and text messages, so by the time we play he's very horny.  Depending on the man I might do some light bondage and light spanking.  I have him close his eyes and I run My fingertips over his face and upper body. Sometimes I speak and sometimes I am quiet.  I tell him that I am remembering with My fingertips what he feels like...and that he should remember what My touch feels like too.  I like to watch his reactions and hear his deeper breathing.  I let him know that I am in control of his pleasure, and that ultimately he is there to please Me.  I may use toys e.g vibrators.  I offer encouraging sounds and words and I always give constructive feedback and ask for feedback as well.  Later on the scenes get more intense...with gagging, blindfolding and heavy bondage, etc.

Chime Me in with the choir.  I usually do a lot of talking with someone new before an actual scene, to see where he is in his level of experience.  The first time around, I like to see his response to different sensations, some soft and some on  the harsher side.  I'll use different toys and textures so that I can gauge his reaction, with periods of breaks inbetween.  One of My favorite things to do is to run My nails gently along the skin, to heighten the senses a bit.  Just a soft brush so the nerve endings will tingle.  Then, I'll do short periods with different toys to see how receptive he is to them.  I tend to make him experience both sides to each toy.  Things like gently tracing his back to show him how soft the tails of My flogger are, before giving him a couple of swift strokes.  The whole idea behind the first encounter is to gauge where he is to begin with, so I can see where I would like to take him.

Aside from the physical, I also try to establish where he is mentally.  How are his trust levels?  What about his willingness?  What type of submissive does he have the potential to be?  How open is he to different experiences once he gets a taste of what it's like?  There are a lot of different things to look for.

A first scene is something like getting the base line to know where you're really starting from, at least in My opinion.  After that, the whole world might be open.

My favorite "scene" for a new sub, is to put a maid's uniform on him and
see how well he can clean my bathroom.
If he does a good job, he can worship my feet!

What kind of scene?

Well, the kind that will work out & this can only be determined by getting to know the person I plan to "scene" with.

Even if it is a complete stranger & we meet at a club somewhere, I am going to sit down & talk to them & find out what kind of things they have done & how they have responded to each activity. I'm going to show them the toys I have with me & watch their reaction to each item. I will talk to them about some of my specific play styles & listen to their input.

Communication is the basis of my kind of scene.

I personally think it must be really tough for a Domme on her first time with a sub. What the sub says and what you think he means by that is vital. If the sub is not clear they can get hurt and you never get to see them again. I would suggest gently building them up, you will soon see how honest they were with you. You should also insist they have a safeword, even if they say they dont want one.

Like others here have said, lots of talking, lots of communicating and if the mood is then right the scene will just start to take shape without a whole lot of effort. I never scene for the sake of scening. A sub should never expect that I am going to scene.

Let me know if you ever want to take on a female sub, LadyPact. You just sent shivers down my spine!
