The poll has no option for a fuel efficient vehicle..........I actually drive both a itty bitty fuel efficient car with 30+ mpg and a 4x4 beast of a truck who's gas milage I do not know nor do I want to know.........it is usually parked in the garage. It is 1996 model purchased brand new with less than 60 thousand miles on it while the car is a 2002 and has 203 thousand miles as of yesterday when it was serviced.

I have a '96 Lexus ES300 (car) that gets 27-29 mpg, even if I drive like a crazed Pict with his hair on fire and have the A/C running. Not bad for a full sized sedan, but my next car will be much more efficient.

I have a 4x4 Jeep Wrangler, gets about 22 hiway and about 20 city.  It could be better but for the amount I drive a don't actually have to get gas very often.

I drive a 1989 f350 diesel hybrid I built myself so my gas milage is completely out of the rangeof this poll.I am still modifying it as we go, since it is a work in progress so to speak.

2006 Honda Pilot, which I love and doesn't seem to be that bad on gas.

Best compromise to fuel efficiency and go where I need to be was a Subaru Legacy.  Very reliable, 28 out on the highway (30 if I turn off the ac), but crap around town with fulltime AWD.  I've taken it where 4WD Suburbans feared to tread.

Probably a Honda Ridgeline truck after they release the next generation diesel engines and convert it for multi-fuel use.

i drive a Ford F250 King Ranch with a 40 gallon tank... and i swear that think sucking the gas with every mile that clicks.... i am so considering a cheaper car.  if gas goes up much more... i definitely will.  its about $125 bucks to fill it... but (although this may sound foolish and stupid) i never fill the tank to the top unless i am going very long distances.... im convinced the extra weight makes me get even worse gas mileage.

Its close on to USD 9-00 a gallon over here..... so how anyone could driver a guzzler here I dont get.

I get 40+ mpg in my Renault Megane 1.6 litre. A little less with the aircon on. And to quote my passengers on Monday night, "it goes like shit off a shovel" too.

2 ford trucks 4wheelers .WE need all of them here on the farm and we live on a mountain top its only up or down and with snow it takes a 4 wheel to go and come, so I bite the bullet and wince every time we fill them up.WE have started to sch our trips to kill 3 birds with one stone ,not any more just droping off the mountain for an icecrean or soda,if we are out then we wait till the next sch store trip...Only in america...bounty

Once upon a time, I had a Dodge Ram 2500 Heavy Duty 4x4 with a Hemi (arr! arr! god, that was a fun truck!)  I was going to put a camper on it, but that was going to be a bit down the road.  So I'm back to an '04 Ford Ranger supercab with V6 and 4x4.  Does come in handy in the winter, and is big enough to hold large objects.  It gets around 22 freeway, never clocked it for city driving (I'm usually doing mixed driving).

Is that good or bad?

i rarely drive my gas guzzlers any longer... 9 MPG on Premium gas, and living 15 miles from even a fast food restaurant, pretty much sucks. Currently my motorcycle has more miles than my truck, and i don't expect that to change...

i drive a 1995 Buick.  It has 116,000 miles and the body still looks good.  i have no idea what kind of gas mileage it gets; i'm math-impaired.  However, $20 of gas is usually enough to last me 4 to 6 weeks.  Though i notice that gas prices here are now $3.15....so maybe $20 won't do it anymore.
