To put it short it is the old world war 2 gay men....yes they were all in the military.
Because it was illegal to be gay and in the military when they were on leave they created a sort of secret club. Honor, integrity..don't narc on me. A family of sorts...
Since BDSM comes from the gay leathermen...well it was a gay BDSM club.

So, if you are not like 70+ year's old. You are not an old gay man. You are a female...that means you are not an old gay man. You are NOT old guard.

There are a great many resources on the internet about Old Guard. Guy Baldwin and Jack Rinella are the two best living sources to learn.

Many people claim to be old guard because they want that uniform type of living they once had. But, even those old gay geezers did not call themselves old guard.

That's is exactly my understanding of it (from reading), but I would never have said it. ROTFLMFAO, M

These things are really a distinction without a difference, when all is said and done:

Old Guard
European

and all the other variations.

Tiertu? can you help me with the web quote from Jack Rinella on this subject?
(a famous 'Old Guarder' who fundamentally says there is none)

Searching on the word tiertu...is it a mythological fairy? That is what I am finding.

The reason Jack Rinella says there was no old guard is the same reason I said it in my last post. Because this was a group of people who did what they had to do to survive period. It wasn't a cause or a lifestyle. It was their life.
They were who they were and the country was not in a position to allow them to be who they were.

It wasn't until decades later people labeled it old guard.

People claim to be old guard trained now. What exactly is old guard trained? There was no training. These people within their small group was merely honor, integrity and respect.

Nothing more, and if you need training for that...to be what I consider a decent human being you have serious issues.
Although it is a nice thing to throw out there for newbies who don't quite understand.
Gloss their eyes over for brief periods until they do some research.

Anyway, where did you find that quote? I'll ask Jack himself if you'd like me to.

Dear Sub4Hire,

I was agreeing with your post. Tiertu is a mythological fairy as well as a member of this site, and a real person I hope to include as friend, she showed me a really good post by him on a website for this very issue, I was hoping she still had the link handy.

Sincerely,
Ron

I know, but as I also know I don't always define things the way they should be. Frankly the less I have to type out the better. So people don't always get the full understanding of what I am trying to say.

Your quote made me want to explain.
