I also broke free when I outed myself to my mom several years ago..it went like this

Mom: I've seen and heard it all
Donna: Oh yea? Have I got something to tell you
Mom: What?
Donna: I'm into BDSM
Mom: What's that?
Donna: umm....Bondage, Discipline, Dominance, Submission, Sadomasochism.
Mom: Don't expect me to install handcuffs on the head board when you come to visit.

Sheesh...I spent years wondering how to tell her...
