During play my favorite kind of shoes is none, for comfort, mobility, and lowered likelihood of tripping, twisting ankles, or accidentally hurting either myself or my bottom with heels.
Exceptions, of course, are made for scenes involving having a sub dress me (thigh high lace up boots, absolutely), trampling, and boot worship.
Any shoe other than boot is most likely removed during scene, if I am wearing it when the scene starts. Most of my boots fit snugly enough that I can comfortably complete a scene w/out removing them, though the PVC pair with zippers frequently comes off mid-scene.
