DrkJourney -> RE: What should a slave do to become owned? (5/20/2007 10:59:32 AM)

Honestly, I don't think it's anything they have to do...I wouldn't want someone to conform to me just to be owned. (if I'm understanding correctly, if not I apologise)

My only suggestions though reading post here seems all have a pretty level head, but any way...here goes:

Be yourself ( don't pretend just to get chosen)

Know yourself and what you want (how you gonna find someone compatible when you don't know what you want?)

Talk to the Dominant as you would anyone else, forget all the flattery and acting like a slave/sub online (don't be to quick to jump in the slave/sub role.  Take it slow...get to know them, allow them to get to know you)

I want to know you as a person...who ever that person is....I can train to be my slave when that time comes.....again...bottom line.....be yourself

This is just what "I" look for, I don't know of any hard and fast ways to get collared.  May take a while to find, but last a long time

Well done, Sah!

First, you project your definition of slave and "dominate" onto the entire community, then you go on with a theory that essentially eliminates communication.

"Oh, hi, nice to meet you at this munch.  I'm Master Travelino to my slave jenny"

"Oh, Travelino!  I've heard a lot about you!  I would love to get to know you a bit better!"

"Great!  I would love to!  Are you dominate or slave?"

"Well, you'll have to find out for yourself; I can't make that decision on my own."

"Well, let's go for lunch tomorrow, and if you don't like the restaurant I choose, you're prolly dominate."

I agree with you that self labelling can be deceptive, but it is necessary in communication.  Otherwise, conversation becomes meaningless.

"I like chess."

"Are you good?"

"You'll have to find out."

Let's take it a step further.  If we assume that an individual's self perceptions are potentially flawed or skewed, then the statement, "I like chess" would necessitate verification, and talking would become entirely vapid and would die out as a method of communication.  We'd all just watch people for a few weeks before having sex.

benji

Edited because karma's a bitch!

Actually, I prefer to train my own.  If I can't overcome his barriers on my own, what kind of Domina/trainer am I?  I don't want a slave from some factory....it's hard enough trying to train a slave my way that was previously owned.

sorry, just my experience with this subject

Generally, the wisdom within this ol' dog's words is best extracted by reading.

run far far away and never look back because once she/he are own and mark as such the only thing the Master is going to do is throwe them away with yesterday trash,
and remind them of how wanted they are

An unowned sub needs to do the same thing a subless dom needs; they both need to work on themselves. They need to figure out what they absolutely need to have in a partner, what they absolutely cannot tolerate, what they can compromise on and what they can't. Both in play activities and in real life interactions.

Because unless they know what they want and don't want it's a crap shoot to find someone compatible.

They definitely don't need to pay some nobody good money to learn the top ten slave positions which their future partner may have zero interest in.

What other suggestions and advice do you have for lost unowned slaves?

Same as for any single person: Get a life and enjoy living it.

I recommend they avoid goofballs posing as trainers as a ploy to get into their pants.

Wha should a slave do to become owned?

Give their heart and soul to someone.

sweetnurseBBW -> RE: What should a slave do to become owned? (5/20/2007 6:42:08 PM)

Why is an unowned slave lost? Maybe a slave at that time chooses to be unowned. I think training should be individualized for that Master and slave. Not one plan works for all.  Not every Master or slave has the same, needs , wants or desires. It is a individual thing.
