Status: offline 		I only know that I know a lot of dominants, submissives and switches.  They run across all signs of the zodiac.

Status: offline 		None, I had a sub who shared my birthday, same day same year. If there was nothing else tat busts the idea that the Zodiac or any other astrological things could influence ones sub or Dom tendancies, that did it for me.

Personally, I have a wonderful book called "The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need" and it is fascinating.  It goes way beyond a person's sun sign and gives charts to help you learn a person's moon, venus, etc.  I bought it long before it came with the CD version to do a chart by simply entering a birthdate.  I've had at least ten people buy the book after checking Mine out a bit.

Status: offline 		There are tons of web sites that will give Y/you a "compatability" horoscope for Y/you and Y/your beloved.  i like astrololgy "dot" com.  i know of no "scientific" studies regarding the validity of zodiac signs, and i'm not sure how anyone could construct scientifically accepted methods for testing a zodiac validity.
 
It so happens i think my zodiaac sign describes my personality; but lately i have run across some Doms who should have different signs but don't.  So i follow it for fun...i've never based a decision on my horoscope but i like all sorts of pyschic stuff.

I have that book too; it is interesting. I have to say though, after finding out there are thirteen zodiac signs instead of only twelve, I am more interested in how a chart with all thirteen would look.

i loooove that book. It's actually sitting on the floor about 2 feet away from me as i type! ....There is a very good point to be made regarding that book going deeper and showing you how to do the rest of your chart vs. sun sign only...(the book makes it really easy to cast your chart too!)

my Daddy and i are 6 years apart but only 3 days apart in bdays and though we have a some similarities we are vastly different and maybe that has something to do with the rest of our charts.

No. There are no reputable studies linking zodiacs to anything other than mythology.
Read the back of the local newspaper, the star signs there will be as helpful as anything else.

The studies have been done, both by people seeing if there was any basis to the myths, and the believers trying to prove their beliefs. The easiest way to test is to simply look at the lives and personality traits of a random group of people and how they do not match the zodiac inspired predictions. Lack of successs is a pretty good test, same as psychics.

And that is it's most valuable aspect.

"Which people would that be?"

Believers of course, who else?

Status: offline 		I am told that not just your sunsign defines your personality but the rest of the planets like a rising or ascendent sign and other planets as well.  Venus, of course, is the planet of love, while Mars is the planet of passion. 

I also agree, there is no link between astrology and D's.

Sounds similar to "You were born on a Rotten Day".  My sign does mention some reference to BDSM, which is Pisces and states that I am this little sniveling sub....hmmm...I am trying to be more sub and less sniveling...lol.

Status: offline 		I also have the book (who knew it was so popular? lol)  and agree that it is pretty good.  Wish I had the CD version, I didn't know there was one.  I also like that it has tables for birthdates well into the future, so you can do charts for recently born babies. 

I agree that there's no correlation as far as doms and subs go, but perhaps some kind of correlation exists or could be written for the zodiac signs of doms/subs/switches/slaves.  i.e. "The Aries Dom", "The Aries Submissive", The Scorpio Switch", "The Leo Slave" and so on?  There could be something there, right?
