Not jumping in here, but if you would not have had him on ignore, you would have seen he said NOTHING about you in that last post.  I might reply in a bit, I am still shaking my head and trying to catch up on this post.  I will say though minnetar, I agree with mistoferin, I truly do not think they were trying to upset you, heart surgery or not.  I also hope you are better.

I appreciate your words.  I would add, messaging someone privately in such cases can defuse a lot of flames too as many misunderstandings are made worse by being public.

No it shouldn't be necessary to let someone in on the joke....If they don't "get it" then they should "bow down" gracefully....If you can't keep pace with the conversation then you are in over your head....In real life I would never pull someone aside during an exchange so that they could bring me up to speed...I would step away and at a later time ask the questions that needed answering...I don't believe this is any different.

I agree with you if it is just banter like this.  I think though, that what KeirasSecret was referring to is germane to other (more serious) types of subjects and conversations.  I'll quit being a wet blanket now LOL

I believe my advice on holding a “meaningful” conversation came into the conversation before your “joke”. Regardless, I did not read anything other then the first post before my first post.

As I mentioned earlier, if the person being “joked’ about isn’t laughing and the person telling “jokes” keeps going; it isn’t a joke, its something else.

I have nothing to say about the rest of your post. I do not believe we are talking about the same thing.

It's true it often means that the person not laughing either does not possess a sense of humor or just might be a complete idiot.....Sorry to interrupt your conversation...I obviously just jumped into the middle of something that I might not have understood....I'll pm you so you can tell me what I have missed.
