You can't seem to get it when people are in a good mood and are playing around.  I saw you misinterpret something equally as innocent on the nfl thread.  Sorry that you seem to take everything anyone writes so seriously.  Why don't you put me on block too so that my words don't upset you anymore.

domiguy, you are gonna end up on minnetar's block, but not before she announces it to you.

I  think Aileen likes me more than you....I knew if I was diligent and stuck to my guns that I would wrestle her away from you.....This is the perfect example of  how things can get misconstrued...It is a medium devoid of expression except for what you see in type....It cannot  possibly allow me to show the amount of disdain that I hold for both minnetar as well as VeryMercurial.

I kid 'cause I care.

I agree with you, Shylah.  I have only posted 40 something times in the time since I've been on the site, and I can already pick out some of these people you're speaking of... I have found myself making the same exact comments in my own head when seeing them.  <shrugs>  Diffr'nt strokes, I suppose..

No one has said anything mean or angry to you.  Any one reading this thread can see that and can also see how upset you're getting over nothing.  have a nice night.

Same here.  Not that what I think truly matters anyway..in the whole scheme of things.

I used to play an internet game and there was a guy on there who hated my guts.

I tend to not suffer fools or legends in their own mind well, or at least not back then.

Work with me.

He would endlessly announce that I was blocked.  In almost any public conversation where I was doing
whatever asinine thing I was doing at the time.

He would frequently respond to something I said, and then announce that I was blocked and he wasnt paying attention to what I said.  Then I would make some other remark, lather, rinse, repeat.

Then he would try to type "last" which was used to get a scroll of the previous screen on that public channel, but
he would endlessly typo it as "lsat" or "lats" or whatever.  I am editing this to point out my puzzlement that somebody would block what I post, and then repeatedly waste time trying to see what it was so that person could respond to it.  Boggles the imagination.

I dont block anybody.  I might miss the opportunity to make fun of them.

I am a bit curious how one finds out who is blocking one, but not that interested really.

it amazes me how so many women in this world think they are cute by being the biggest betches.  Then we have the men who are hateful as hell.  Yall get a grip. You being demeaning isn't cute.  That was the point of the post.  It isn't about growing a tougher skin.  It is about common courtesy and treating another the way you would like to be treated.  Not everyone gets off on sarcastic mean comments.  Until you know someone, refrain from them or at least tell them upfront.  By not doing so you are being juvenile and mean.  We can all disagree about subjects, why not have the common courtesy to  be civil which so many lack and make personal attacks.

i don't think that is too much to ask.  i respect another's opinion without a personal attack.

Evidently etiquette dictates that you make a public service announcement, proclaiming that the person is blocked.
Then I guess you either 1) really block them and then peek at what they type or 2) don't really block them, so you can play a silly on-line game.

Either way, it's entertainment

It boggles my mind that anyone could/would have a visceral reaction to words written by a total stranger in the internet. Maybe it's me, but I have enough self esteem to prevent  *hurtful* words of virtual strangers affect me. Pretty much , the only words that can hurt me come from those who have a place in my life, not a random MB poster.

You might want to spare yourself a dramatic interlude later on and just block me now then Minnetar.  I can guarantee I'll say something nasty to you at some point too.

It's font on a screen.  If people are so freaked about it they really need to step away from the computer for a while and yes, grown some tougher skin.
