I've alway been of the opinion that Lucifer has far better things to do with his time than to make humans do random and malicous acts like these and others that have been "HIS" doing. And two someone needs to smack some reality into this woman if she thinks CPS is gonna hand the girl back over to her.

Not only does her husband need to be evaluated but so does she for not putting her foot up his ass.

A family of lunatics without a doubt. Hopefully they will not get this child back and he will suffer as much as she has. The Mother needs a good knock upside the head too.

The really disturbing thing is the fact that when he took the baby into the hospital, they said that the baby's injuries looked like microwave injuries....how the hell do you know that?

You know what that means...that people have done this before!

It just sickens me, and infuriates me!

Unfortunately it has happened several times.

I guess the Devil's newest weapon against humanity is the microwave.

It's happened several times. I firmly believe that anyone convicted of doing this should be put to death in a large microwave....set on low.

I still say Luci is far more inventive than the microwave though. I mean come on we are talking about the ruler of Hell afterall.

The punishment should fit the crime.

I disagree.  This makes somebody else a murderer doing the same thing.

I think the Inuit had the right idea.  Stick the person on an island in the middle of nowhere.  Give them a knife and some basic supplies.  Leave them there.

They survive.  Or they dont.  Alone.  Abandoned.  Exiled.

Sinergy, I am not sure if I should go here, but.... What's the difference if we put them in the gas chamber or give them the lethal injection? Murder is murder, right?

I am new to this site, so I am unaware of your views or believes.

My post was in response to somebody who wanted to put somebody who would put a child into a microwave should be put into a microwave as well.  My comment was that somebody has to do that, somebody has to put it on Time/Cook for 5 minutes, etc.  Doing this at the behest of society makes everybody in society a killer.

My views on capital punishment were best described by Gandalf to Frodo.  "Many who live deserve to die, but many who die deserve life, can you give it to them?  Be not hasty in dealing out death in judgement, for not even the wise can see all ends."

Dont necessarily kill somebody marooned with plenty of supplies, but no boat, on an island in the Aleutians.  They might survive.  For as long as they are meant to survive.  It is simply done to protect the body politic, not as a means of punishment.

Clarify my position?

I'm not sure there are enough islands in the middle of nowhere in the world for all the people that deserve that sentance.

As Al Franken says, want to build the economy?  Use government funds to build the big giant thing.

Since the latest growth industry are prisons, we can kill two stones with one bird.

Build islands as the Big Giant Thing being built to fix the economy.

great solution but as mentioned before there are not enough islands.  This would alleviate the high cost of keeping someone incarcerated for their entire life.

What's wrong with this?  If God can do things on Earth, and if the devil can, doesn't it only follow that they'll make people do bad stuff now and then?

Only as crazy as religion is!

There are a few science fiction stories that use this type of scenario,
a place of exile for all the undesireables and criminals.

Escape From New York is one -

" It is 1997 and a nearly destroyed New York City has become a walled prison for over 3 million convicted criminals who have lost, but survived, a brutal war against the United States Police Force. In this maximum security prison-city, escape has been made impossible – every bridge is mined and walled, the surrounding waters are filled with deadly electricity and the Statue of Liberty has become just another guard tower from which officers in infra-red goggles blast, on sight, any prisoners desperate enough to try to get out. Radar scanners revolve and helicopters circle the island of Manhattan endlessly. Other than the monthly food drops made by air into Central Park these outcasts are left completely on their own to prey on each other."

http://www.theofficialjohncarpenter.com/pages/themovies/ny/ny.html

and Alien 3  is another -

" After escaping with Newt and Hicks from the alien planet, Ripley crash lands on Fiorina 161, a prison planet and host to a correctional facility. Unfortunately, although Newt and Hicks do not survive the crash, a more unwelcome visitor does. The prison does not allow weapons of any kind, and with aid being a long time away, the prisoners must simply survive in any way they can. When help does arrive, the true intentions of the Company become clear. Written by Graeme Roy "
