toadMystC -> Feelings during service (5/20/2007 7:43:32 PM)

I have a question that i'd like to ask of subs/slaves. Lately, while Mystress is keeping me on my service, She'll either do something or say something that normally ( and before i entered Her service ), would have no effect on my attitude or behavior, but when it is happening lately ( and we can be out in public, at home, or i can even be at work ), my breathing will drastically change, my tone and volume will soften to almost whispers, and i'll get the feeling of my eyes and eyesight being glassy or glassing over. My question is :

1) Is this something that is chemical, emotional, or physical, or all 3, and

2) does this have less effect the more often i'm exposed to these circumstances?

While She and i notice exactly when it happens, i have not had any " ill " feelings or associations with this effect, and i'm not exactly sure i want it to stop, or happen less often. Thanks.

Its called talent and some people have it.

My ex used to be able to drop me like that in an instant. When I say drop I don't mean it to be confused with subdrop which is an entirely different animal. It's just more of a settling into place....like the feeling of plopping into a big, fluffy recliner....ahhhhhhhhh. Kind of like this huge cloud of calm just envelops you. I would suspect that it is a combination of all three.

earthycouple -> RE: Feelings during service (5/20/2007 8:02:18 PM)

While I'm not the sub or slave...

My slave says that when I tell him "I adore you".  It is nearly full head on subspace...even when I type it via messenger.
He just fills with such joy hearing that he's adored his body goes all funny on him.  Robert is out for the evening but I will require him to post more about his personal experience with this when he returns to the computer.

I personally feel that it is emotional and physical..... I suppose it could be slightly chemical (endorphin rush)  Let's take the other two one at a time.... It is emotional. It could be good or bad emotion...since you didn't state what she says I don't know if it is a good or bad phrase for you. (not that it is relevant at all to my post).  Robert simply "melts" for lack of a better word because he has never been told he is adored before me; and hearing this from the one person he knows he can trust with EVERYTHING has a huge effect.  His emotions are over run with love...feeling it from me and feeling it within himself.  He wells up, he feels pride and love.

The physical he feels...from what he's said to me....cramping...serious abdominal pains, a trance like state and he feels if I required him to do anything, he would do it (even things he would otherwise consider a limt).  He feels the most love and the most vulnerable.  I of course know I have this "power" over him and I use it most specifically when he has pleased me greatly.  I feel that giving him this "feeling" is a reward in and of itself because even with the physical pain it causes him, he loves it.

As far as your last point...I don't know but I hope like heck it doesn't ever diminish!

edited cause I forgot about the second part of the question

Yes, the cloud of peace is a good description that i also feel, extreme calm and trance, i think my eyes even narrow to slits almost.

i have dropped hard from phrases that Mystress says, and She plans it that way most of the time. It has caught us both by surprise a number of times simply because the situation seemingly wouldn't bring on these feelings, yet it happens, and at times when i should turn and run for the hills, i am stuck to my spot ( whatever spot that may be at these times ), and i can't help just sitting there in some awestruck and wonderous feelings that has some chance of becoming reality. The phrases range from humilation, to sayings of love, Her affection, etc, and each one is unique, as is the times She says them.

Earthycouple Ma'am, i look forward to hearing from him about some of his experiences. Thank you.

i am just becoming aware of some of the desires of service that i feel, and while i am enjoying their presence, i am also aware of the deepening desires to explore more of what i could do to serve.

toadMystC,
I actually wrote a post about that feeling a couple of years ago. This is how I described it.

quote:

There is a feeling that I have gotten from the Dominants who I have been with in my life that I am at a loss for a name for. In talking with other submissives I have found that I am certainly not the only one who gets this feeling, although I have never heard an actual name put to it.

It is the feeling that you get when you are chatting and laughing with your girlfriends at a munch and your Dominant walks up and strokes your hair, the feeling that you get when your eyes meet from across a crowded room, the feeling that you get when you are hurrying around waiting for Him to come home with butterflies in your stomach...and He walks in and puts His arms around you, the feeling you get when you're balancing the checkbook and he comes up and strokes your cheek......the list goes on and on.

The only way that I can really describe the feeling with any accuracy is to say that it is very much like the feeling that you get when you sit down to nurse a baby and that intense calm comes over you when the oxytocin is released into your body. It is like you can feel your mind stop racing, your heart rate and breathing slow and you become enveloped by a calm and serene cloud. It is sometimes as profound as a shot of valium.

I have always described the feeling as a "settling into place", because quite often it comes at a time when I am pre-occupied with anything other than submission, and it instantly puts me into “submissive mode". The feeling is one of settling down or dropping...but not as in sub drop.

ready4srvce4all -> RE: Feelings during service (5/21/2007 9:54:18 AM)

Toad, I thank you so much for sharing and posting this thread.  I believe it's all three-physical, emotional, chemical- that causes this, but there must be a trigger also, and the "trigger" for me is a phrase.   I'd like to share my "trigger" with You.  Mistress has already shared from Her perspective, so now you get both!

My trigger is when Mistress says "I adore you".  She can say "You're adorable" in various manners, but it doesn't trigger, only  "I adore you" does.  It's that specific.  I have been told "I love you" and all manners of romantic phrases, but not once did anyone ever adore me.  And it's not just the word, it's that I know it's true.

It triggered the very first time She said it.  It just went.  I was in ecstasy, but I had no idea why.  Everything came to a screeching halt.  I could hardly type, speak, or think rationally, I was consumed with a wave of pure love and acceptance.  My head bowed instantly, and my abdomen starting cramping, I was hunched over like this.  Have you ever exhaled, and using your abdominal muscles, pushed the last bit of air out of your lungs, contracting the muscles even more by bending forward?  You can almost get yourself into cramped up mode doing that.  In my case, it's automatic.  That is the best way to describe the physical action of what occurs.

Emotionally, it's a wave that keeps coming, almost in a caressing fashion, that prevents my feeling any emotion other than a deep, pure love.  A feeling of total belonging.   Protected, cared for, and needed.  No one, absolutely no one in my entire life has ever wanted every last bit of me, my entire being.  Mistress is the only person who truly knows me, one hundred percent, completely.  She loves me in my entirety.  And it is this wave of feelings, that prevent anything else from entering my mind, only the pure love.  It is powerful.  I am so vulnerable, and She knows this.  My trust in Her I know is beyond doubt, because She could literally have me do anything, I mean ANYTHING at this moment.  She takes care to allow me to ride this cloud.  She nurtures me during this moment, She let's me experience the purity of this love, and lovingly minds to ask how I am doing.  She protects me.  I feel....safe.

The intensity of this varies, and I don't know why.  Never is it mild.  The most severe instances causes a full body trembling as if I were freezing....but I am so warm.  I don't know if there is a specific time or thread of communication that helps vary this flight.  Just the other day, while chatting online, we were in a very joking and playful moment, and She said it...and off I went.  Other times we may have been serious, or cooing.  The intensity also varies the time it takes me to come back to earth.  But every time She says it, when I come back, my mind is sharp, my body warm and relaxed, and I am totally at peace.

I never ever want this to go away. Even in the most intense moments, where the cramping and contraction of my stomach is painful, I need this. Mistress is careful to not continually have me riding into headspace constantly.  Only She knows when and why She will use this trigger.  To know that I am totally in someone elses power, by just a simple phrase, keeps me going further and deeper into my submission to Her.  She literally owns me.

Continued happy voyages Mr. Toad.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm ... yummmmmmmy. You have expressed the feeling so well, Robert, summed it up exactly as I feel it too. Good job!

meticulousgirl -> RE: Feelings during service (5/21/2007 11:40:26 AM)

Yeah it happens to most of us.

Our Dom(mes) have a tendancy of bringing us to another level when normally those words or actions would not effect us.

Dont think it's you.  My Dom has done that numerous times and He's the only one that could.  The word Worthless is one way....but no not in the subdrop sense, not in the verbal abuse sense just in a mental conditioning sense as I am a very high strong and stubborn girl I'm the first one to admit it everytime....lol

I loved the above!

I feel the same way. Usually with attention he gives me but sometimes it just happens when he tells me to make coffee, or some other form of service. My head goes very clear, and I feel the way you described. Very nice to see it in words, as I could never truely explain what I was feeling succesfully.

Conditioning with positive re-enforcement. Whether intentional or not, it happens. A phrase, a look, always accompanied by the person or experiences you enjoy. It could be as simple as the fact They know how to push buttons that were built into you your whole life. They can make those buttons, or just use the ones you already have, but when They push our buttons, that's when we hit the floor, and that's when They know They've got our number.

It is called a connection and be thankful you have it.  Master can say or do something that will have the same effect. It is an uneasy feeling at first but then you grow to love it. [:)]

toad,
does it ever feel like you just gulped a large shot of some type of very strong alcohol?  The warmth begins in the belly and slowly and deliciously seeps to every part of your body until it reaches the tips of your fingers and the tips of your toes.  And at this point, you feel as if you might very well be on another plane of existence...

Nope.  Never happened to me. Nuh uh..  ::grins::

I definitely agree.

Sometimes they stop brething for a few seconds.  I love to listen for breathing changes.  They never lie.

And, music to my ears.
