Maam Jay I have to say I was so worried about being in public dressed in my gear but it was so relaxed and friendly. And it wasnt at all weird seeing so many different types of people strutting round naked and loving it :D.

What a disapointing experience you had. I have to say I would of been completely put off if the staff hadnt been so welcoming and friendly and full of really good advice and so eager to assist. Sometimes reading the boards and seeing the clikyness that can happen and bitchyness it kinda put me off the scene, which is of course silly I know this is just the internet but it did cloud my judgement.. It was definatly a good experience. I'm abit disapointed my boy didnt like it as much but then to be honest I wouldnt want to play publically with him anyway I do like to keep that private. I'm all for pinching a spare bottom though to have a go on when I get there and hopefullu I will be able to develope my skills with help from other Dommes/Doms. I was so impressed by other peoples flogging and rope skills in there I was quite jealous and the great thing was I was able to ask people about what they were doing and get some really good advice and pointers andthats what its all about

Yes, I didn't try again until I'd met people at munches in Perth and they convinced Me their party would be different! And it was. You will learn so much by meeting others, there are so many things I would not have been game to try without seeing other people do it, asking them for tips and things to be cautious of and even asking them to supervise while I had a go. Due to people wanting to learn more, several workshops were organised for wintery evenings, they were great! Except for one where the heavy downpour of rain on the tin roof of the Dungeon drowned out the presenter LOL! Luckily that was a more hands-on evening so we could watch and copy.

Master's the one who's not big on public play, and I am sure He could happily cope without attending another play party. However, He used to try to do something simply because He knows my slutty exhibitionist sub side enjoyed it so much! And that gave Him pleasure to see me respond. As a Domme, I very much enjoy public play, so He tended to let Me go Domme for most of the evening, perhaps bringing me into submode for some play later on. Besides, once i'm in subspace, it's very hard to return into enough of a Top space to actually play, though I can return to sufficient control mode for a sub. Perhaps your boy will come to enjoy it more as a social experience, and he may appreciate Your having the chance to play a bit with others, and learning all sorts of great things to try out on him later in private. And remember, it's not all about play. he can actually serve You very well throughout the whole evening without You laying a hand on him. Maybe that will work for Y/you?

So nice to read about your happy adventure out in "public". It brought back some fun memories.

i can understand your sub's reticence to go public. He may be uncomfortable with the social interaction, making small talk etc, in this particular setting. If you remove the socialization factor by keeping him blindfolded or hooded, hell, even gagged, after a few outings he may come around to seeing things Your way.

And after all, isn't that what it's about???

lol I'm sure he would go again for me if I asked him too but I wouldnt want him to if it wasnt his thing. I see it as an oppourtunity for me to go and learn new skills and meet other people I'm happy to keep him at home

I can definatly think of 101 useful things he could be doing for me and ways to be waiting for me when I get back which would make my evening even better !!!
