Will spanking a tattoo, i.e. if someone gets her backside spanked and her backside is tattooed, will the spanking ruin the tattoo?

What happens if it's a fresh tattoo, does it need time to set?

Copulo -> RE: Spanking and tattoos (5/21/2007 3:31:55 PM)

Yes if its new.
I recently had this whilst playing with a fem sub in a club. She had, had a tattoo about eight days earlier and it was still very much in its healing process. The last thing she needed was some un-sterile implement catching it.
Once its healed up then its fine to play as normal. The tattoo goes fairly deeply into the skin and wont be affected.

Once a tat is healed, about the only thing that will ruin it is something that would cut through it. Sometimes, exposure to the sun over the years will fade it, too.

Tidbit: there used to be (and some still do it) a tradition of "setting ink". This is where the tat artist or a friend would smack the living shit out of the freshly tatted area. It HURTS 'cause the area is already raw.

OH I have GOT to remember that line.  "Here, darling, let me help set your ink.."

*GRIN*  wait...hmmm....

"Here darling, let me help set your sunblock..."

Nah, tatoos cost too much to ruin them just for that. If I'm putting art on my sub I want it to stay clear and easily visible.  No smudging.

krikket -> RE: Spanking and tattoos (5/21/2007 4:35:53 PM)

Yikes..think if i ever get a tat i'll keep it a big secret until it's "set"...lol

I have two tats--one really cool 'shackled leprechaun'...the only thing I was told was to put sunscreen on them because sun will fade the ink

MstrssPassion -> RE: Spanking and tattoos (5/21/2007 7:21:57 PM)

yes...  fresh ink must be protected for any form of impact or bruising.... if you strike the area that you recently had inked you can either cause the skin to reject the ink or cause the ink to bleed to other areas thus ruining the tattoo

I don't recall the exact length of time but I believe it was about 2 months but it was suggested that one should wait at least 4 to 6 months depending on the tattoo

akisha -> RE: Spanking and tattoos (5/21/2007 7:37:18 PM)

My massuese will not massage a new tattooed area for 6 months. He said the pressure on the area will cause the ink to push into neighbouring tissue and cause the tat to smudge.

Plus a buddy of mine had his panther smudged but a half witt that wanted to rub it to see of the ink would come off on her finger. He was totally pissed. The tat was expensive and only a day old and the bottom ended up smudging a bit.

What about whipping on tattoos? Even the set or older ones?

If the skin is broken then the tattoo can be damaged. Otherwise you are not going to do any damage once it is fullt healed. The time to fully heal a piece can be as short as a month to longer depending on your health and personal healing times.

One healed spanking is not going to disrupt it at all. A tattoo is placed between the dermis and epidermis <about 1/16th to 1/8th an inch under the skin>  and essentially is trapped between the walls if the cells.. The reason the lines bleed of blur is the skin has been damaged and regenerates, modifying the initial structure. As you age and these skin cells naturally die and reform the lines will spread a bit though good skin care will keep that drift to a minimum.

A fully healed tattoo is very stable. What will damage it is cutting the skin or forcing the skin to reheal. It is stable enough that even light abrasions will not affect it. Deeper cuts will cause the ink to bleed out and can cause light areas to form.

On a fresh tattoo even I would be surprised if spanking caused it to shift. Your skin is not that fluid. The bigger issure there would be damaging the newly forming skin and cracking scabs making for a rough healing period and possible light spots where the scabs have cracked. You commonly see this effect where tattoos are in areas that take a lot of unintentional abuse and on joints like the elbows and knees. The biggest issue with a new tattoo and spanking would be the potential for infection.

The way to tell if a tattoo is fully healed is to look closely at the skin. The initial silvery tone that is left after the scabs fall off goes back to the normal texture of the skin. At this point for all intents and purposes it can be treated the same as you would any skin.

I hope this info helps.

Have a nice tattoo at the end of my penis.  I keep trying to wear it off but no luck yet!

This is true. I didn't put sunscreen on my iron cross and it's starting to fade. After a week or so it doesn't hurt anymore. Also if you are getting it on your back or an area that can be exposined, make sure you wear something that won't cover it. I wore a regulart shirt when I got my tattoo on my back and the shirt stuck to it. If it's on your butt or something make sure you wear loose pants or shorts.

chellekitty -> RE: Spanking and tattoos (6/15/2007 3:58:45 PM)

has anyone else heard of licking a tattoo to keep it conditioned once it's healed?

mnottertail -> RE: Spanking and tattoos (6/15/2007 4:04:55 PM)

it works for dinks, so I would give it a shot. don't seem like it could kill you.

hope this helps,
Ron

My son (a tat artist) had his ex come to him for a tramp stamp--- he told her that he would have to "set" it like that and she agreed.  I think he worked out a lot of pent up aggression that night!!!
