I smoke...my Master does not...He has told me i will be quitting. I hope i can quit smoking. I have tried MANY times before, i have asthma and emphysema and COPD so quitting smoking would be a good thing for me. Master has not said He would leave if i dont quit, He is not the type for ultimatums.

i smoke.  i have always maintained that i will surrender that for which a Master will take responsibility.  That being said, should someone love me for me and be willing to take responsibility for getting me into a program to quit, help with any medications and not just call me gross for smoking it would happily surrender this addiction to His help and guidance.  i also respect anyone's decision to not know me at all because i have this addiction.  Just the same way i would avoid anyone with an alcohol addiction.

Deal breaker.  I have asthma, my health is more important than someone's addiction.

My ex smoked outside only and I was fine with that. An inside smoker is something else and I couldn't deal with that.

However The Man has zero interest in smokers, for him it's a deal breaker. Luckily I only smoked lightly and gave it up shortly after college.

I detest smoking. I am alergic, and it makes me itch terribly sometimes. My Sir smokes, I love him, so I deal.

Sometimes I make this weird noise in the back of my throat, itching myself back high in my throat where it drives me crazy when my reaction is bad and my mucus membranes are in revolt. I suppose that is the part he has to live with. :) A submissive who makes odd sounds on occasion and has times where she itches all over.

I dont smoke, and I dont like it. Angel doesnt smoke. Truitt does, just not around me. He is allowed outside, and in a bar or soething like that, and whenever he pleases when I am not around.  With me, he refrains as much as he can.
As long as someone can keep from smoking like a chimney around me, I dont usually have a problem with it.

Id give it a go. I wont come to harm from stopping smoking. Presumably, you'd be able to wear nicotine patches for pasties yes?

Smoking is a crap addiciton, maybe having it dom'd out of me would work.
Im still waiting for the vaccine myself.

I smoke ... I like to smoke ... ~yet~ ... if I was given the encouragment for the right one I could quit.
BUT..........................................
If I was told I had to pick, cold turkey or the Dom? 
I would have to say he was an insensitive ass who really wasnt all that after all.

i smoke on occasion.  there's a pack sitting on the computer monitor right now, has one in it and has sat there for more than a week.  i dont want one, i dont smoke one.

i dont get addicted.  i know, i'm an oddity.  Sir doesnt like that i smoke, but when i can count on the fingers of one hand how many i've had in a week? he doesnt fuss too much.  and i dont smoke around him (nor in my house).

I detest smoking and I think it's a filthy habit, for me it's almost a fatal flaw. But as a matter of fact my Domme just went on the patch yesterday and i won't get the chance to see Her for the next two weeks. Lucky me :D

I had the most horrible migraines growing up 3 or 4 times a week and only decreased a little by migraines.  I was raised by smokers and ended up with a Sir who smoked.  I wanted him to quit because of health reasons, and he promised me he would quit before our first UM was born.  He quit within 2 weeks of finding out I was pregnant and is now more repulsed than I by cigarettes.  It turns out 90% of my migraines were from the smoke.

Now I have 2 UMs with asthma and my migraines, so a smoker would be completely out of the picture should I ever be on the market again.

I smoke socially... like in bars and at parties....  If i needed to I could completely quit.  I don't mind partners who are smokers as long as they don't do it in my house...

One of the first things I have looked for in the past is if a Dom contatcting me is a smoker. I have a very strong preference for non-smokers.  I have chosen not to meet with smokers, so there would be no opportunity to know if they could be the "perfect"
Dom.

Besides which, i have met  the perfect Dom for me. [:D]

i am ok with my partners smoking, as long as they don't smoke in the same room as me *asthma* and dosen'te xpect me to kiss them right after they have a smoke...

I am a smoker but because of personal choice i dont smoke in my own house and i dont like people smoking in my house, if someone i like does not like it, i think its for that person to either deal with it or not, i gave up for two and a half years and put on a ton of weight getting to the point i figgered i would end up dieing of a heart attack, a lot sooner than i would if i smoked. 

I just replaced one habbit for another and it took a shit load of work to get back into shape once i had started to smoke again. it was hard.

I figger i will live longer being a smoker than i would without it by eating, no i dont have will power i can not stop smoking and not increase the eating.

so who ever i end up with is going to have to take me fat or reasonably in shape and a smoker, that is all there is to it.

I used to smoke, and quit about 2 weeks before we began talking.  He informed me that I would not be allowed to start again.  Any girl he considers for himself will be told no smoking or no relationship.

His no smoking rule has prevented me from starting up on a couple of occasions.

Actually when I quit, I just quit.    Got up one morning and didn't smoke anymore and I was a smoker for nearly 20 years.

Suppose my feelings were that negative towards smoking then they would have discounted themselves long before it got to deciding if they came close to being a perfect match.


As it happens I am a smoker and therefore it doesn't really matter.

this is actually an excellent question.  I used to smoke, not a great deal, maybe one or two cigarettes a day, a little bit more in a social situation. When I met my Dominant, he made it quite clear that he didn't like it and asked me if i would quit. I wanted to please him, and deep down i wanted to quit anyway, so i put down the cigarettes.  It was really difficult at first, but he did help me thru it. And now i feel 100 times better then ever.

This is going to vary from person to person for me. My houseboy smokes and the smell stays on him. Blagh. Another I have smokes, but I can't tell. I prefer that they don't smoke, but it's not something I'd end the relationship over...but it does influence the level to which I'm willing to go. The smell of a smoker is a HUGE turnoff for me.
