i have never made any toys yet but am going to begin. i want to start with making a rope flogger..i figure that will be cheaper than a leather but have a few questions. which thickness in rope is best? i dont want it to be heavy and thuddy...i want it to hurt lol...and if i were to put knots down the tress's like a barbed wire effect..will that increase the pain or just slow the flogger down?

It would increase the sting. And if you want to make your toys here is an informative site you can look over.

I suggest rainbowrope . com and using parachute cord for your first rope flogger if you want a sting.
