I'm a big fan of R & R and only recently listened to some gypsy guitar (suggested by Lean N Tall) and it's absolutely beautiful music.Lean mentioned it was good for her soul,so not to ramble on I wondered what you all love to listen to.I'm curious. Janey

Jazz, mostly. You might be interested in work by the guitarist Django Reinhardt.

Rock and metal, mostly, and in these forms:

Progressive
Technical
Experimental
Industrial
Gothic
Death
Thrash
Black
Doom

I love Dream Theater, Katatonia, Razed in Black, Borknagar, Cradle of Filth, Spiral Architect, Soilwork and Toad the Wet Sprocket. Then there is my own band, Charlie Drown.

Thank you, dark~angel. I like Tool a bit, yes, but the others I have not heard of. There are so many good artists out there, that it's almost impossible to know of them all. I do like finding new recommendations, though. I have discovered a lot of great artists that way. And you can call me Rain. And I really like this smiley.

Trans Siberian Orchestra is awesome. I saw them 2 years ago at the Key Arena in Seattle. Even though they only had two of the original Savatage members on the West Coast Tour, they still put on a great show. If you haven't guessed already from my website URL | http://home.earthlink.net/~ghostintheruins/ | I'm a big Savatage fan.

ROCK...and...MORE ROCK...(from RollingStones to Pearl Jam)

...and just in case somebody out there knows them...Inspiral Carpets is my favourite band, but I'm not sure if they would be inside the ROCK category or "what the heck is this weird crap?" category.

the "what the heck is this weird crap?" category includes most of what I used to listen to in college ... I'm a lot more moderate now and have jazz playing more often than not ... but usually I just referred to it as "horrible noise."
