If you get involved in your local bdsm community (someone here will be able to point you to a link I believe that lists them, or just google, "BDSM munch and <your city>) you will probably meet some other femdoms that will be able to give you some tips and work with you on practice -- and probably also provide the subs. I wouldn't recommend getting together with a novice sub or one that thinks he is experienced but isn't -- you don't want the blind leading the blind when it comes to that kind of play.
Another option is to contact a local pro femdom and see if she's willing to mentor you on a client. Lots of subs who see pros actually love the idea of her bringing in a new femdom to "show the ropes."
