ROFL: never shaved anything but my legs and underarms till i found D/s. To be honest it never occurred to me. (talk about dim, LOL.) Since this gave me a whole new "maintenence" thingie i quickly adopted it. First i tried waxing, which was fabuluous. My stylist, however, did not get hair offa ..well..nevermind. The solution would seem to be to get a better stylist.

Now i am both forced to conserve money (urrrrrgh) and i am single, so next i tried shaving. i have tried a lot of different brands of razors (it never occured to me what difference a shaving gel would make) and ended up liking those throw-away ones best, but only if actually used once and tossed. Razors can be damned expensive, so i thought i'd share this. i bathe, not shower, so i think the hair is easier to remove.

Lazoring pussy hair sounds great; but it seems there'd be risks just as there are when lazoring facial skin..and any permanent damage to my pussy would just horrify me.

It's a pain dealing with unwanted hair. But i feel so pretty without it; so i am vain enough to keep it up.

i think we need a thread on mascara; at 49 i still do not have a brand i am satisfied with, LOL. fillepink

Anyone ever try dipilitory creams? Yes, I mean down there hehe. I've found that veet mouse doesn't hurt all that much, just burns for about ten mins after, and is a little tender for an hour. But it's worth it, the skin is smooth, and stays away for about a week. Nair, I will never ever use again ouchies! I shave right now though, because money is a bit tight. Veet is about 8 bucks, for a small bottle. I've found that hair conditioner on your legs really helps. Baby oil in the bath water works. And it's pretty inexpensive.

Well when I shaved I would use unscented ant-persperant. Yes, I know it sounds wierd, and you wont be getting any head for the day, but it works.

Hey, I invented this trick! [sm=idea.gif]
The gel works better than solid types.  Also, it doesn't have to be unscented - It just depends on your preference/sensitivity.

...and since the scent of my antiperspirant is pleasant, I find that it's actually appreciated during the getting of head.  I even frequently receive verbal confirmations to that effect.  Of course, since I'm a guy the difference in anatomy makes it a little easier for the giver of head to avoid direct oral contact with the chemicals. Okay, this is something I can hijack the thread with and still offer a good contribution. Anyway, Christian Dior makes my favorite mascara. It's awesome. I get the DiorShow kind, in black. It separates everything, makes your lashes look long, and doesn't flake- I swear it's the only brand I can wear all day and not have my eyes get all itchy and watery later on (which is sooo attractive). I get it at Sephora, I think it's $22, but it lasts a long time and is fantastic. (/hijack)

As a contribution to the thread, I am still trying to understand how an anti-perspirant helps with shaving. Really. I don't understand. Is there some sort of chemical basis? What do the people who use this notice as a difference?

Most antiperspirant has an antibacterial function to it as well as keeping the surface of the skin dry.  With a reduced number of bacteria and moisture related chafing kept at a minimum it helps keep the skin from getting irritated, which is not only unpleasant, but also the main cause of razor bumps/ingrown hairs.

One suggestion, though, if you tend to cut yourself while shaving you're pressing way too hard and if you apply gel antiperspirant when you're done it will sting when it gets in the cuts.  You should use a better lubricant and reduce the pressure on the razor, or use the solid kind of antiperspirant, or both.

-edited to add:  If you think mascara is irritating, be glad you don't naturally have really long eyelashes.  Sure, they look nice, but I have to groom mine almost constantly.

Can we get a group "awwwwwww" for the guy with the too-long lashes???  LOL

MasterNdorei -> RE: another shaving solution (10/13/2006 9:56:37 PM)

Biosilk ROCKS! i have not tried the generics mentioned here, but i tried some generics years ago and was very disapointed.

i use BioSilk when i straighten my hair with an iron, but not when i wear it curly. Talk about stick-straight and silky!

There is nothing like it for soft, smooth skin... and yes, i have been using it for "coochie maintanence" for years. When i am running low and have to stretch it, i mix it with Neutogena Emulsion Lotion (unscented)... the effect is still ooooohlala

Also can be pricey, but Eros lube will give you a very plesant clean shave.  You will need to clean your razor well in soapy water afterwards, but it leaves your skin feeling delightful.

Reading the forum here, and see this as a pretty good topic as far as hygiene goes as well. Most Doms prefer their subs clean down there~!!
My big thing is Laser~!! It is the best thing ~! Haven't any of you tried it?? Oh yes, it hurts like all hell, I get a Brazilian, and it takes time, you have to go in for quite a few visits. But, oh the outcome~! There is nothing like a pair of silk panties on in my experience before~!! it's wonderful. As far as cost, well you can check out several places, and it does last for a long time until your next session. It is so worth it. As long as you don't mind someone down there, lasering, it is well worth it~! Soon it never grows back again.
Raerae :)

I am saving up to get lasered from shoulders to feets!!  It's expensive, yes, but worth the time saved in the shower.  I have to shave EVERY day... no excuses, and I can't seem to find the right time to do it so that Sir gets the full benefit.  Waxing is not an option because of the time and expense (he likes me close when I am not working)... can't wait to get the laser done, and I don't care how painful it is... couldn't be worse than my piercings!!  LOL
