I like lables. I don't use them to discriminate, but to know how to comunicate with a person. When I even SORTof know where a person is coming from, I know what might be of interest to them or what situations or topics to avoid.
I've never been a fan of ambiguity.

I think labels are fine too, I just think people should self apply them instead of others defining who they are.
Most of us self label correctly. We do not need outside help to do so. I will say I have a few labels I have applied to myself, but very few of them are unchangeable. I think that labels can be extremely self limiting, and we should take care with how we apply them.

One thing about others labeling a person, the person being labeled has the new information of how others see them as opposed to how they see themselves.
