I am a very patient person. I can find it within myself to pretty much wait most things out until they are either resolved or ended etc. I must admit that I am having some difficulty in waiting for something that I have ordered online. I have to replace my bass guitar and I decided to order a custom built one instead of going to a local shop and buying one off the shelf.

My order was placed on the 11th of this month and I just got a postcard from the manufacturer stating they anticipate my bass will be ready by July 9th. I can check the progress of the construction process online and this adds to my frustration with waiting. I am already half-crazy and now the other half is teetering on the precipice of total insanity. I want my new BASS!

My question is simple: What item(s) have you ever purchased where the wait until the item got to you became intolerable? How did you pass the time without driving yourself totally nutty?

Note: if your "item" was a person, that is fine too.

I broke my cell phone and ordered a new one online...the wait seemed really long.

I just ordered a treadmill from HSN and was told it would take twenty days for it to arrive. They have been wrong before. I'll bet it arrives next week.

My first computer, I wanted a Dell and because I ordered under personal use, I was told it would be 45 days. Well not being patient for my first home computer and having received ones at work from Dell in a matter of days. I went out and bought one and got it at a great price...

Five years and I was ready to update since the old one crashed .. (okay too many porn sites and not enough protection) I ordered a Dell under my business information and received in 3 days...

Hope the time goes by quickly Gauge!!!

I bought a pair of really hot thighboots and I waited three months for them to arrive.. They never did. Had to cancel the order, retract the money and go to another website to buy them. And then of course wait the time period there. I finally got them aftur more than 4 months. I hugged those boots for good ten minutes at arrival :D
