ORIGINAL: slaveluci Level, i love your taste in music. It is so eerie that i consciously left several songs off of my list earlier and then i scrolled through the subsequent posts today and you had listed many of them: "Good Time Charlie's Got The Blues" - figured others hadn't heard of it "Baker Street" - didn't think of Rafferty as a one-hit wonder since i absolutely love "Right Down The Line" that he did "Laid" - again, wasn't sure who would have heard of it "Standing Outside a Phonebooth" - wasn't sure if they were one-hit wonders "Brick" - same here "Chevy Van" and "Lady Blue" - 2 faves i simply forgot about i have about 50 or 60 "mix" CD's with tons of this stuff. It's so cool to know others enjoy it as much as i do . Thanks again for the clips.........luci I love music more than almost anything; and though my tastes tend to run to the heavier side of things, I love good music of any sort. From what you've posted, I think our thinking runs along the same lines . I definitely agree with you about Rafferty's "Right Down the Line"; here's a vid featuring the song. http://youtube.com/watch?v=YHbshERgRsA Songs like "Laid", and "Brick", are from what I'm starting to see as a Golden Age for rock; I couldn't turn on the radio without hearing a terrific song, and now, well, things aren't as good, in my opinion. But it's cyclical, I hope lol.
