ORIGINAL: Lordandmaster Well, since you ask, I'm disturbed by the tendency in this thread to lump all Chinese people into one box. It sounds like unacknowledged racism to me. And of course that's the most insidious kind. Just because food imported from China has recently been found to be tainted--as though we don't have tainted food in the U.S., ha!--doesn't mean that your local Chinese restaurant is serving tainted food too. And if you think they're serving cats, don't eat there. That said, having been to China many times, I'm not the least bit surprised to learn that food imported from China is tainted. quote:

ORIGINAL: Lordandmaster I assume everyone understands that if you order Chinese food from a restaurant in Minneapolis, that's not the same thing as importing food from China, right? Edited to add: Fuck, Arpig got that in just as I was typing. So what are you saying? We're eating American cats and not ones imported from China? Mr, how do you know that chinese restaurants are NOT importing food from China? Many of them do use ingredients from China, such as soy sauce. Many of them buy those from Chinese supermarkets which has Chinese stuffs shipped oversea to USA. In general, Chinese food, though tasty, are often unhealthy. I rarely eat Chiinese food.
