Define 'older set' [8D] i am less than one month shy of 50... my pic was taken today. For my 50th birthday i am jumping out of an airplane....tandem...so there will be a 50 sec freefall [:D]. Quivver, i feel your pain... not many i know could keep up with me either, but i never give up hope [;)]

We are out here, Rain. Perhaps the reason is the older folks are less pc literate; perhaps they are hard at work doing their chores or serving their Mistresses? I have been a submissive since my 20's. I remember the days when the only admitted Dommes were pros. But fortunately things have changed and more and more women have begun to take charge of their lives, in ways unheard of 2 generations ago. And, more and more of you have been taking charge of one or more males in your lives. Us older boys are most appreciative. Those of us who are serious about the lifestyle and honest with ourselves and our partners, can offer much in terms of experience, perhaps talent, kindness, patience and attention to those of you who give us the chance. There may be another nice feature that we have: an ability to listen! This increases with age ... until we really become deaf! [:D] gm

Ha ha ha, i must join in on the funn, that is some of you making fun of older subs. I am 62 and a half, look to be about 48-maybe 50 according to many. Walks 45 min 6 times /week. Works out with weights 3 times a week, rides horses still. bareback. Always been active in mind body and spirit, and i am a submissive . How ever i found that man over 55, well that is my upper limit for age. I am blessed with great helth and genes, so there is a few out there. In my current profile i give my age as 58 for a reason, but i do tell the individual. Hmm, some of us just still kicking i guess.// phoenix

The Hottest sub/slave I ever knew was 61. He had experience, confidence, patience and he was sexy as hell! If he weren't taken I'd snap him up in an instant. I submit the reason you don't see many of them on here is that they are TAKEN.

Hi TR, are you referring to males or females? For I find many many male submissives in that age bracket and yes submission does not leave one's soul just because of age---the way it is demonstrated changes though. In fact I remember a post about 2 years ago that addressed the lifestyle and how to show it as people aged---

Excellent question Rain one I posed to a couple of female submissives I know in that particular age bracket. One has been collared for a very very long time and the other one was released recently and is deciding where to go from there. They both said the same thing. The majority of the dominants that they have met are younger and less inclined to chose an older female sub. Guess it depends what you are looking for in a submissive. I am finding that the older I get, I much prefer submissives with substance and closer to my age.

You said "submission doesnt leave one's soul just because of age---the way it is demonstrated changes though." This is an interesting thought to me. Thank you, rain *Thank you for asking, well let's use some real life examples ( and I think a few come from proud's thread of a few years ago)---* *--when one is 60 something, kneeling becomes an issue---so a stool that keeps the submissive lower and a chair that keeps the Dominant higher* *--certain bondage positions become difficult due to poor circulation* *--a day's work for a submissive may need to be altered due to heath or physical constraints* All of these are what I call "manifestations" of the dynamic, the submission is always deep in the heart and soul, however the physical demonstration may need to be altered---the boys I talk to are older as I am---and to have them kneel and kiss My feet when standing becomes hard---so I sit and they get a stool! *Now there are also financial and heatlh issues to be considered---and they CAN all be dealt with---if there is commitment--smiles.*

java, Your view is one point, but I would disagree with it! Submissivesness is a valid state of mind that does not disappear over the 50 mark. Why they would tend to stay away from sites like this is yet to be answered. Many reasons I assume! CP

CP Submissiveness doesn't disappear at 50, I would definitely agree with that, but finding a Dominant or Master who agrees with you would be difficult to find. I would agree with the person who said that those who are older have more refined lists of needs and wants. I know I am looking for someone much different than when I was looking 30+ years ago. Finding someone who is looking within my age group and fits what I am looking for is difficult. I firmly believe that it is not impossible but it's difficult. Why aren't there more in the older age range? I would tend to believe they are either already in long-term, committed relationships or they've been burned by the Dominants here who are looking for someone younger and much thinner than themselves. My experience shows that the men who are most apt to be interested in me from my own age group are those who are looking for anyone who will let them play and not tell their wife.

I took a look thru some of the replies on this particular page since this topic caught my attention and alot of them hit the head on certain points. As a man who is now 50 of course this post was of interest to me. As we get older of course there are some body limitations that weren't present in years gone by, or some feel that their ability to handle anything corporal is no longer an option for them. And while that is true I feel that one's ability to serve is still there. There might be adjustments to be made which is a normal thing. But ones age does not take away totally what is in ones soul, mind and body.
