bodies mingle, flesh tingles, the glows ever brighter

and then, as with every great star, it is gone

somewhere across the ship are quiet dazed forms - pg is resting comfortably in the Captains Suite, with Sari wrapped in her arms, and warm bear pelt keeping the nights chill from their tender flesh

*Sari's spirit is met by a being filled with white light. She sheilds her eyes from the glare and feels a warmth in her left hand. Something hard digging into her palm. Sari turns away from the blinding light and opens her fingers and finds a crystal.*

*As Sari stares at the object, it vibrates slightly. Sari hold it away, light radiates from it as it shifts it's shape. Captivated by the strangeness, she is too scared to look away and then a smile gradually crosses her face. What was once a rectangular crystal has now morphed into a clawed foot, curiously like a bear paw.*

CAPTAIN ALERT:

Talked with the Captain this morning - he is home safe and sound.  Toughest race he's ever been in - hit a tropical depression that turned into a nor-estern.  Lost their generator, so no lights, no laptops, no communication.  A lot of boats withdrew and turned back, but the Kalevala II presevered.  Lots of seasickness - two crew members hospitalized as a result.  I'm just glad he's home in one piece.

aren't you cold standing there in your bare skin bear?? I seem to recall collecting your pelt last night - its in the Captain's Suite - but I wouldn't try to retrieve it right now - he's home and resting
