am having a rather benign and silly time on forum boards when suddenly I hear the snap of a whip across the street mingled with the sounds of birds, vehicles pacing down the street, wind chimes, lawnmowers.......

a rescue squad raced down the street as the boy retreated into his house...

finally he produced one of the capguns, pointed it....

sounded just like a whip
